  1. Cheers Antonio, I'm ordering Z6's on monday. Are they basically the same tyre as the Diablo?
  2. What kind of mileage do you get from the Conti's Jaap? My M1's (rear AND front) were worn out in less than 2500 miles and the rear BT020 has now gone the same way. Everywhere is a long ride from here,I cant afford to keep going through tyres at this rate....
  3. Everywhere is a bloody long way from here Martin-but every trip is an adventure!
  4. Welcome to the forum Martin. Since you're a man of leisure why not join the throng in Holland this September?
  5. Nice trip Martin. Do you use the Garmin eTrex to navigate motorcycle trips?
  6. My Ballabio had just 2300 miles showing when I bought it in September. The ride home added 1300 miles, she's now showing just under 8000. Shock seals failed at 6000 miles but other than a couple of dirty electrical connections no other problems (touch wood!) I'm hoping to top 10,000 by the end of September (Dutch meeting then down to Mandello)
  7. Welcome Klaus! Nice Le Mans you have there! See you in Valkenburg!
  8. Yep,the riding position on my Blobbio really keeps the speed down......Its the noise from the Mistrals and the grunt from the airbox that makes me do it officer! (Bertie, over 50,6'2",14 stone.) ....and 6 points...
  9. Gosh, what strong fingers I have...... The shock works just fine by the way. Thanks David.
  10. The shock doesnt come apart, just back off the preload adjuster rings all the way till the spring is slack then you should be able to remove the split collar that retains the spring at the end opposite the hose.Swap springs, replace the collar and reset your preload. You only need spanners to remove the shock and "C" spanner to slacken the rings (its probably easier to slacken these before removing the shock).
  11. Welcome Alex! I'm sure you,ll enjoy this site! Dont apologise for your English, its a hellova lot better than most peoples German!!!
  12. Thanks Greg, I installed Tom M's map but it seems really lean, especially at high revs (wouldnt rev out, plugs kinda pale looking). I've upped the fuel a bit using the buttons on the PC3 and its better but nowhere near perfect(a little rich now but I'm happier with that). Thanks again.Rob.
  13. Does anyone have a PC111 map suitable for 04 Ballabio with Mistral TI ovals, Mistral crossover and modified airbox? I've tried Tom M's 04 map from fileshare, but it's not the right one for me.
  14. My daughter lives just south of Barnsley and works in Sheffield, normally a 20 minute commute. On Monday it took 7 hours for her to get home because of the floods........
  15. Ha ha ha! Nice one Mike! See,Frank was right, humour does belong in music. (and the boy Dweezil plays a mean guitar, just like dad!)
  16. This may be a dumb question but has no one on this forum tried the timing gear conversion? If not is this a cost issue or do these kits have a bad reputation?I'm new to Guzzi ownership, but gear driven cams seem like a fit and forget option.
  17. Yay,DON VAN VLIET!!!!! Pick any album, but my favourites are Clear Spot ,Spotlight Kid, oh hell all of em... And what about Frank Zappa? Pick any album from over sixty.......If there was only one good track on each one thats a hellova lot of good stuff.
  18. Never had to sit down while urinating, but have fallen down..........
  19. Hello Mick and welcome! I'm sure you'll find this forum very informative, entertaining and often just bloody hilarious!!
  20. Welcome aboard Rich. The more the merrier!!
  21. I believe Jason at Moto Strada will put one on the road for a lot less money, unfortunately he wont take my kidney in PX.... I think at least one member of this forum has an MGS01 on the road in the UK....
  22. Fantastic! Nice to see they have a sense of humour in Hinckley!
  23. Welcome Saggio,nice bike.....and the right colour!!
  24. Be very wary of buying a Dnepr. They were built in the Ukraine, but the factory is closed or at best mothballed for the last couple of years. The later models (MT11 I think) have a poor reputation for reliability, (everything from exploding alternators to crank breakages,at low mileages.) The Ural is built in the town of Irbit,in Russia and is a different beast altogether. It looks similar to the Dnepr but no parts are interchangable. I have only 2 gripes about my 2005 model-the finish is poor and the Russians seem unable to make good quality rubber components-they perish and crack quite quickly.
  25. Oh you Americans........ As long as its just you guys pushing buttons on the forum and not George W pushing the big red one its OK..........
