    MG shop stand?

Harbor Freight universal rear stand, $40. You have to spread it about 1/2" to make it work. My bike is on one right now.
  2. Has anyone ever ever directly encountered any of these "jokers"? Absent hard evidence, I believe that they must be "strawmen" (sort of a political unicorn, but better). Given hard evidence, I will reconsider.
  3. 14k miles: Fork oil replacement Air filter replacement adj valves & retorque head bolts find/fix oil weepage @ front of engine r&r clutch & brake fluid should get me through the winter
  4. Reboot Guzzi Spares. They are online, and I recommend them without hesitation.
  5. The guy I bought my bike from had pressed Delrin bushings into the reaction rod. At the time I blamed it for the bike's "herky-jerky" (words of local MG dealer who owns a V11) driveline action. I got one used from Reboot Guzzi Spares & have the other hanging in my shed.
  6. I have the same setup on the Tenni & can send pictures if you need them. jrt's pictures give a good view of the installation & should be enough. It looks as if you are missing the threaded rod w/ heim joints on either end which connects the shift pedal to the shift lever (part that jrt fabricated but is included with yours). If MI can't get you one, try Ducati. 907ies (and probably all Ducs w/rearsets) use a very similar rod.
  7. I think it's the undeniable presence of Motorcycle DNA in the v11s. Subsequent Guzzis & all other motorcycles that I can think of have had most of it refined out of them. I recall taking a test ride on a Honda VFR800and commenting upon my return that although it didn't do anything wrong, neither did it do anything right. The dealer was somewhat surprised and pointed out the all-around excellence of the bike by any standards. My reply was that it was too late for Honda as Toyota had already built the perfect motorcycle as it kept the rain off as well. I think earlier bikes had charisma in greater or lesser measure because they were built by people who wanted to build motorcycles according to their vision and so much of that shines through when you ride one. That's why I gladly accept the V11s flaws and enjoy riding it so much; it's the genuine article. Ride safe.. Mark
  8. The USCRA events are much better. The crowds are much smaller, the atmosphere much more like the old Loudon. July 4&5, Sept. 1 are the remaining race days. See some of you there?
  9. Looking for a center stand or shop stand for '02 LM

    V11 crashed...

Sorry to hear it. Reboot Guzzi spares in France may be of assistance, though.
  11. The trip odometer on my '02 LM quit today. (can't be reset). Since I use it as a fuel gauge, it will be missed. Any advice on remedies will be greatly appreciated.
