Scura R

Hello I`m thinking about getting this one http://www.stucchiluigi.it/ita/scheda.asp?Cod=PRF012265 They have it in stock, but say the colour is not exactly same as original v11 front carbon fender and the carbon side panels. I have never seen any other shop that has a v11 carbon rear fender. Anybody know any other shop? Please, if anybody have the original v11 front carbon fender AND also this stucchiluigi rear carbon: Are the colours very different or is it ok to use them together?

Some members on the http://forum.animaguzzista.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=11634&start=960 say only about 20 was made. But, what makes it a Scura R, is really nothing more than the combination of black paint, red stickers and some red vinyl. And I love it!

part number on seats?

I`m thinking of buying a black seat for my Scura R(keeping the red too). Anyone know if Cafe Sport seat has different texture on cover than other v11 models? Like woven carbon fibre or something like that? And if someone with a Cafe Sport can give me the part number for the seat and cushion(small bit), it`s even better! Interested in buing a used one from Cafe Sport.

My hands get more fatigue(a lot, especially right hand) from my v11 Scura R than from my California Jackal. Did you buy the bolt-on versions for your v11? I have the Cafe Sport bar, and thinking of buying a set in black. I`m waiting for answer regarding shipping cost for Norway right now. Should not be too difficoult for a metal work shop to make a pair of stainless steel bolt-ons for me, 3-4 mm thicker and a bit longer, and a longer bolt. My original weight is 158g by the way. Anyone with the tubular bars have any recomodations for aftermarket weights, besides Maniac?

My manuals, I got two versions( manuals for 2003 Rosso Corsa, Nero Corsa, Sport, Cafe Sport, Coppa Italia, Ballabio-Scura R is not mentioned, they probably never made a manual with Scura R written in it) tell me to use 5w-40. Other manuals for earlier( pre 2003) v11 I read on internet say 20w-50, same as for my 2001 jackal. The jackal manual also gave other options like 10w-40,10w-50,10w-60,15w-50, for different temperatures. I understand Sahara can use a thicker oil than Norway. So, it`s possible the different recommendations is a coincident?

Hello Why should(must?) my 2005 Scura R have 5w-40 in the engine when the other/erlier v11s use 20w-50 ? And also, is there two different oils one can use for the trans: 80w-90 OR w90? Or is w90 just someone wrote it wrong?

Yes, it`s the Scura R, not the Scura. I`v been looking for a v11 for about a year or more. I had decided to get a Cafe Sport( only the colours are different from Scura R and Coppa Italia I believe?). But when I found the Scura R on mobile.de, I changed my mind. All this time I have been looking in Italy, Germany, Ebay, etc, I only found my Scura R for sale. How many on this Forum got it? What an incredible bike to ride long distances! 1100km and butt is no problem! 2004 or 2005 is not important to me, but it was 1. time reg in April 2005, produced in 2004 I believe. I read about Sibbe, not sure if I can make it. The hotel is not so big, probably full by now anyway. Great Forum by the way!

Bought it in Germany on Thursday and wanted to ride it all the way home to Norway, but too much rain, so I gave up in Kiel and spent the night on Stena Line to Gothenburg. Then, when I was riding through Sweden and into Norway, the sun was shining! Anyone who knows how many they made?

Looking for a Cafe Sport(2003-2006?), and would like to know what kind of typical problems I should look for/ ask seller about. Can I forget about the pre-2003 problems, or do they still exist? What kind of modifications are highly recomended? Ketil
