Well its in the back of the van so I guess well know more in the coming days. Will give it a good once over and get a few miles on it and see how it goes. Thanks

Thanks for the replies. Im told it had has 'Extensive revamp last winter by MG UK club member including new head bearings, brakes/forks re-sealed and electrics sorted. Koni Dial-a-Ride rear shocks. Mods include PHF36 Dell'Orto carbs with K&N filters, Sache electronic ignition, full stainless exhaust system, stainless brake lines, centre-mount propstand'. The electrics do look to have been upgraded but the fairing has been removed. It is there but needs work. There is only 33000 miles on it. I have asked about the sump extension. Thanks Mark

Looking at adding a 1979 1000 SP into the stable beside the V11 Café Sport. Does anyone have one, or had one and can point out some known issues/things to look out for? Cheers

Would love to have seen images of that, sounds really interesting. Both my morinis came from North Leicester. Stuart retired a few yrs back and his son took over and rebranded as Lusso Veloce

3 1/2 morini 🤤🤤 would love to have one in garage, i did have its last incarnation, a 350 Dart which looked like a baby paso, and its much larger brother a 9 1/2, which was a 1200 and not a 950

Thanks @docc @Speedfrog. New relays look to be about £2.20 each so that's a no brainer, will get them ordered up. Odyssey battery proving a little more difficult, the joys of living in Northern Ireland where UK places won't post to and NI stockists not listing the battery 😑
-
Hi Docc, the relays are marked as 0339A 32B, not seeing G8 marked on them. I'll pull them all tomorrow and give them a clean and pop them back in, I'll also check the spade connectors. Is there a decent battery recommendation to help all this? The current battery is marked as 2TX15L BS but at the local distributor ive been sent YTX15L BS and when I phone them I get told MG12B 4 🤦♂️

Thanks Phil, I'll avoid thr pods, might do the secondary crossover for fun later down the line the though
-
Thanks Phil, there is a standard cross over between the heads but I was thinking of the one under the engine, would the titanium ecu be capable of that or would a new map be needed? Are pods more hassle than they are worth? I will pull the bike out over the weekend and test the turning of the bars, although the bike is usually running straight when it cuts out, and confirm the idle once warmed up and choke fully in. Thanks Mark

Thanks for the link, looks like i can do a couple of those myself, after that might need a professional or MG specialist which is difficult here in Northern Ireland where we dont even have a dealer. The valves, injection and calibration was all done about 800 miles ago, again before I got it but that could have been a few yrs ago now, it hasn't had much use. The relays were replaced by a previous owner to Omron from motra tech, can get a look under the seat tomorrow

Evening all. Have had the cafe sport out a few times recently and it is cutting out when rolling off/braking and changing down when coming to a stop or round about. The battery has been on a trickle charger but im going to replace it as I dont know how old it is. The terminals are tight and it has had a recent service, including spark plugs and air filter and it did cut out before all that was done too. Anyone any suggestions on where else to look? The bike is fitted with the MG titanium exhausts and ecu, no crossover or open filters. Would fitting a crossover and open filters work with the ecu? Thanks

Opted for the pro bolt as they are listed as brembo so should fit exactly right
-
Haven't searched through the full site to see if they have longer shanked ones yet, was just wanting to see people's opinions on them. I replaced the bolts that hold the calipers to the forks a few months back with the correct bolts from Gutsibits, they were roughly £1 each and that is why I was questioning £40
-
Thanks for the replies. Wouldn't be too keen to paint if there are bolts out there but £41 for 8 bolts seems a bit crazy. The probolts site does give full specs including pitch and head height, so im wondering would these work, slightly taller head amd marine grade so better resistance https://www.accu.co.uk/metric-cap-head-screws/3159-SSC-M8-40-A4

Hi all, it's been a long time but another V11 is back in the garage, technically belongs to my dad but it's in my garage, 2003 V11 Cafe sport with the Moto Guzzi Accessori exhausts and matching ecu, 12000 miles on it and very clean. However want to freshen up a few bolts. Does anyone know the part number for the caliper bolts as they are a bit rusty on it. Thanks

Yeah unfortunately it's up for sale, just not getting the use. Owned 9.5 years and covered 2500 km, there was several years it never turned a wheel and just sat in the house. It needs to be out and on the roads, at least a couple of times a year to keep it all happy. Cheers

Well replaced the oil feed and rubber hoses at the back of the cylinders and all looks good and off to find a new owner unfortunately. Cheers for all the help
-
Thanks for the reply. I contacted gutsibits and they thought headgasket or the oil feed lines but they are braided so unless they have failed. I don't suppose you have a step by step how to guide to do valves etc?

Sorry haven't had a chance to look at the 1000s until tonight and I wish I hadn't, need more help. On the left hand cylinder, as you sit on the bike, under the spark plug there is a nut, it's covered in oil. It won't tighten anymore. Can anyone tell me what the nut is and how to stop it leaking oil? Cheers

Thanks for the replies. The new floats arrived, just need to fit them. Started it up yesterday and no smoke or sticking float, typical, but I'll fit the floats anyway. I think it's probably about 9.5k

Thanks docc, it is something different. It has been an ornament more than anything else and as such I'm testing the water to sell it hence why I'm trying to sort out the few wee issues
-
I always manage to get it wrong haha. Many thanks for fixing it
