  2. I have a 2002 v11 sport and want to do the pawl spring fix / check before a trip to highlands of Scotland in June. I can't see the images in Belfast Guzzis article.... is there some way to access them? Regards ridon29
  3. There was a 4 pin relay when I bought bike ... is this incorrect? I have both 5 pin & 4 pin relays . Thanks for your help
  4. V11 would not start so I replaced the relay & it started. Now no power to headlight, rev counter and ignition red light. The instrument and rear light work fine. I have checked fuses.... am I missing something obvious?
  5. Thanks for that rs are out until feb next year
  6. 2002 v11 sport. Bike broke down & would not restart. It was suggested that the starter relay was at fault. I swaped the relays over and bike started & lights dont work... so it is definitely the relay. Problem is I can't get one. It is 4 pin Siemens A1001-A402 the other side reads V23074 PA66-GF25. any help most welcome. The bike cut out as I was joining the M way after having cut out several times before that day only this time it could not be coaxed back to life. If i can't get this relay, could I use another and wire it in with cable and spade connectors? Regards ridon29
  7. Anyone any experience of fitting a 12 volt power socket ( cigartette lighter ) to V11. I want to power sat nav etc. Only have guzzi a week & love it.
  8. Yes I agree, the V11 is much better behaved in town.... rode 270 miles to dealers on multi & 270 miles home on Guzzi. A much more relaxing and enjoyable experience.
  9. I went for it .... it is great! Richard
  10. Collected v11 today from moto strata in Shipley Yorkshire. Round trip of 440 miles and it never stopped raining.... My hands are black from the dye that ran from the gloves..... They are drying on the cylinders on the ferry now in middle of Irish sea. I Was well Impressed with bike..... This ones a keeper

  11. Where/how did you find it? On Ebay in England. Collecting on Saturday. I bought mine (new) in England: they are very seldom for sale here, very rare. There was a burgundy one locally a couple of years ago. Was that the one in Drumbo? I looked at that but did not buy then. The one I am buying is also burgundy, seems in excellent condition... no flaking paint etc and low miles 14K

  13. If you have stock pipes, put on a pair of Mistral reverse cone mufflers. They sound fantastic and they are the best looking pipes for the V11, in my opinion. Ok thanks for that tip. CARBON WRAP CANS HAVE BEEN FITTED ALONG WITH A NEW CROSSOVER UNIT WHICH DOES AWAY WITH THE STANDARD COLLECTOR BOX SYSTEM ,AND ALLOWS THE ENGINE TO BREATHE BETTER,AND ALSO ENHANCES PERFORMANCE. so runs the advert.
  14. Well I have finally taken the plunge & bought a V11 and sold the Multistrada. Collecting next Saturday.... great!

  15. I don't know about easy to ride slow. The bike will go slow for sure but it's too much fun going fast. Welcome to the forum, bye the way Thanks for that..... slow is a relative term, I just dont want to ride at 10 10ths all the time.... which the Ducati encourages.
  16. Fair comment... maybe I an getting too old. (53)
  17. Thanks for that ..... when I say slowly, i mean not full throttle. Ducati is very snatchy at low rpm & has little flywheel effect and revs very quickly ... for a twin.
  18. Hi there Just joined... test rode a v11 many years ago & loved it. Own a Multistrada 1000 Ds which is hard work. I want a bike with character that is easier to ride slowly. tell me i'm doing the right thing ie buying a V11 Sport with flat bars. You can read about our trip round Ireland in RIDE magazine Oct 2011 page 30.
