groovy, i can't wait to make a long trip. it's wierd to think, "i'ma go that way, and keep going that way till the sun catches up." but i'm looking foreward to it.

i wanted to go to florida, but i don't know if i'll make it this summer. i've never really done a trip where i stayed away from home more than a night on my bike. but, this summer i WILL go around lake michigan. any of you michigan folks that think it might be fun should look at your schedual for august. that's when i'm going to do it. maybe next year i'll be ready to travel for a whole week!!

i beat the tar out of my sport all last summer. my tranny seemed okay if not a bit stuborned. but if ida known...that's a different story. better to err on the side of caution.

i get over 120 mi solid out of a tank. i haven't tried to run it dry yet though.

well, it says "1100 sport" right on it. so yeah, part of my question, is it in fact for the sport, or not?

so yeah, i think i'd like a full staintune set. but they won't sell them to americans. and that was all i got out of them.

now, i would like to hear from somebody if it really does fit the '01 sport. the email i got back was literaly, " this is not available in the united states", and nothing else. if someone in a country that actually could order them could just answer that question, then it's only a matter of time till i have the cake to buy em.
someone asked me before, "why a full set?". my answer is just so i can tell the guys, "SNIFF(tug pants up and puff out chest here), yeah, fill staintune. how ya like me now mcbizzle?" see, the ricers i run with, 80% of them have "slip-ons", and i just hate the slip-on. and if staintune thought the guzzi headers n crossover were okay, they wouldn't have gone ahead and made all new parts from the motor back.
i should be absolutly ready to buy the exhaust within 2 months. thank you for your time.

heh, staintune makes a full exhaust kit for the sport, but they won't let us have it in america. i need a friendly european to act as a middle man

well, it's wierd. if you just keep flogging the throttle it kinda goes away. i think there's something like, " under 10 mph you turn off" and then an intermitent dead electrical system later.
i'm telling you man, it's what happened to my sport. my mechanic took the switch apart n put it back together and all was loverly.

check for debris around your clutch safety switch. my sport was doing that because i caught a bug there, and the switch had to be cleaned out. i told you guys to put duct tape over that!!!

i've no idea. i have seen some of the older guys on the other forum mention that they missed the external oil filters. so i did a bit of hunting and tadaah. i will say it looks like it might hang down off the block a little bit. i dunno if i'm comfortable giving up a half inch of clearance, and the fact that if you do bang it, your gonna fubar your bike real quick.

yeah, that cracking welds bit has me hung up. but i was going to do the chip, intake, and exhaust all at once. so, it'd be dynoed before it was cut lose for sure!!
