  1. No faults.............
  2. Also just for the record while I had it running in the shop the other day I did pull the plug on the air box air temp sensor and it didn't seem to change anything??
  3. Understood............. Any value in posting up a short video clip to possibly make the situation a bit clearer? Never done that before on this forum either.
  4. Thx Pete................... ya this seems like a fueling/electrical issue from my limited experience with these monsters. I have at this point checked valves and they all seem to be within specs but I guess I'm going to need a new coil to switch around and see if it shows one of them is at fault. I really do appreciate you as well as all of you for chiming in here and trying to diagnose. Ciao
  5. Hey Pete not sure if everyone was made aware of the very beginning of this issue as I mentioned to you with the full engine shut down and coasting to a stop at the side of the highway with dash notification saying....ECU miscommunication with dash.... cycled the key and everything started up and I continued on back home and replaced the battery. Has not done that since if that helps in identifying what the present issue/s might be. Ciao
  6. Only one error and Pete said its nothing. Fresh fuel was put (premium) within hrs. of the event........... got it Coil or air box sensor. Any way I can do a quick and dirty test to identify if the airbox sensor is on the fritz?
  7. Just replaced plugs with new ones ....... no change We got to be getting down to the bottom right? What's left...............? Engine out and replace Thx to all in advance
  8. Yes,,,,,,,,, both look identical nice brown color
  9. Hey Pete No the dash and lights all function as they should when its having its fits. Battery is new that was my first go to on this issue. Will check earth strap tonight. If its electrical voltage issues to the ignition portion wouldn't it fall even farther on its face under load and RPM increases, such as a bad coil or??? Vacuum leak some where?
  10. Just caps at this point.......... new plugs should arrive tomorrow. Original fuel filter. Yes did give it a good does of injector cleaner a couple weeks ago(that was my first thought on what it might be) I'm thinking from time to time now the way it is acting that has anyone had a vacuum leak some where in the system that could be causing all this? It still has all the original pollution control/evap can ect. Just trying think of all the easier tests to do first is all. Ciao
  11. OK............... all new plug caps and all tidy on both barrels. The bad news.................. still doing exactly what it was doing before replacement of caps?? Any other ideas all?
  12. Thx to all for commenting. Ciao for now
  13. OK then............ tomorrow I will tear into it and replace plug caps with new as well as plugs. Others have stated its probably a failed TPS. Your thoughts on that?
  14. Hey Pete thx for chiming in......... tried to get ahold of Mark with no avail. I have a bit of response from others over on Wild Goose Chase. At this point its starting ok but when you try and hold a steady rpm from 2k all the way through to about 5K it surges and wanders all over the place.... cant hold steady throttle when at load(moving) either?? Burning fuel like a bugger and smells the part?and is not making much power as I found out having a 100kph roll on with my Brothers stock same year Stelvio... he left me for dead?? Was hoping someone might have had something like happen abruptly to their lump in the past.......... also hoping NOT to randomly starting plowing new parts in it at random in hopes of getting lucky. PS None of the dealers or shops that I have spoke over the years know anything about these machines unfortunately........... for me.
  15. Having a few issues with my 2017 Stelvio NTX as of late that may require Mark ( aka Beetle ) Where are you Mark. Regards.
  16. Owned a 2014 Norge and had it for around three years before I moved on to a Stelvio. If your leggy you might find the cockpit a little snug but these machines are much better in the twisties than what many riding acquaintance's had thought. Very good all day high speed touring tool IMHO. I did a beetle flash and left everything else factory stock. Ciao
  17. As of this moment all parts have been sold.............. thx to this forum and all those involved in the purchase of all this stuff. It would be good if moderators could mark this thread as sold or remove please. Ciao
  18. Just thought I would fire that out there.............. I would have thought the new Stelvio buyer on this forum would have had a good possibility of having owned the final generation old style is all. Either way its not my first rodeo with these gems and realize it takes more ...much more than a test ride to get a feeling of a new machine.Im thinking out loud that the power to weight may be felt right off the bat but I remember once riding with a guy with a very nice Ducati L twin making I believe around 160 hp with an overall weight much less that my Stelvio. I was unpleasantly surprised how un awesome that package was by comparison to mine and subsequently ended up ordering another new 2017 Stelvio due to that experience. And yes I know we are creatures of habit and find comfort in things we are familiar with but part of the enjoyment of this hobby/sport is to always try and keep an open mind for a machine that might truly suite you/me better. So here's to not spending to much time evaluating these machines through the so called internet articles................. right. realistically you pretty much have to own and live with them for a while. If anyone of the members has anything to add please do or PM me if that's more comfortable....... safe space. Ciao
  19. Yup they are very Military looking aren't they As far as color you can do what I did to mine and make it own. Thx for sharing that pic. Ciao
  20. Sorry about that.............. I remember you now
  21. Ya your not making this any easier You and I wouldn't have run into each other at the John Day MG events over the years would we? If it was last year I did in fact have the Stelvio down there. Ciao
