badmotogoozer Posted June 10, 2007 Share Posted June 10, 2007 Did yourheadlight connector melt too? Mine just did. Looks like thin insulated 18ga but should be 16. If it is 20 that's waaay too small. andy york Posted June 10, 2007 Author Share Posted June 10, 2007 No, the connector is good. I would just really like to get more lite on the road. The Le Mans has a shitty headlight. A 60w bulb draws 5 amps...in theory..20g wire is good for 11 amps. The weird thing is the 30 amp main fuse got hot enough to distort the plastic but did not blow the fuse.Wish I had an extra harness so I could put some 16 g wire in for the whole headlamp circuit. o well ...I need something cold. andy Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
