I was curious because I got the impression that the 9th place was supposed to be a 1 or 2. Mine is a 6??? Here is my VIN number off my Y2K sport. todd haven Posted January 1, 2004 Share Posted January 1, 2004 Z is for Italy GU is for Guzzi KRAKR designates 1100 spine frame 2000-2002(sport and Lemans) 9th digit is undefined 10th digit is model year(nor production) W-98, X=99,Y=2000,1=2001,2=2002 11-16th digits are identifying serial number for your specific bike.
