<_ sorry to hear that carl. when i get around the tranny fix on mine see what kind of support can engineer in for transmission case. it reminds me a sticker saw once bicycle part. read quarity>

OK, I'm a knucklehead! Here's a lesson in checking the simple stuff first:

 

I fixed my leaking transmission, and it wasn't a gasket problem. Seems the drain plug crush washer really does need to be replaced each time. I always thought that was an old wives tale!

 

I changed the gear lube and used a copper brake line washer and no more leak! The stock crush washer doesn't seem very soft to seal the drain plug. When the drain plug leaks, the vacuum created behind transmission at speed causes the dripping oil to go up, behind the tranny, and makes a real nice imitation of a leaking gasket.
