heehee looks like i stirred up a nest of "i do it this way" repies

 

i must admit i'm probably more similar in style to what badmotogoozer describes. On the particular type of bend in question, at the speeds i'm doing i'd be off the cliff if i had the throttle closed

 

incidentally i only ever really lock up the back wheel on right handers so i know it's pretty much me. For the most part i try to get my breaking out of the way, get into the right gear set my line and then lean the battleship into the turn keeping on with smooth applications of generous

throttle it all works oh so beautifully until i get into a tight (10mph) right handed hairpin
