gthyni
Some head gasket can be reused if you recondition them by heating them up? Copper gasket, I think. How about the Guzzi stock gaskets?
todd haven
NO. Also replace the viton o-rings 6 per side, 12 per motor
gthyni
What are the gaskets made of? Looks like some metal (alloy?) and asbethos. Could I make copper gaskets for the V11? Any reason it would not work? Inquiring minds needs to know...
TX REDNECK (R.I.P.)
Could I make copper gaskets for the V11? Why ? Do you have the know how ? Are you having problems with the stock head gaskets ? Is it because you think they cost too much ?

I can have some made if they are OK to use, material- and torque-wise. They tend to be expensive if you do experiment with head and cam tuning and have to throw a couple away each time you lift the heads.
TX REDNECK (R.I.P.)
What kind of cam are you using that has so much lift or duration that you would run into interference ?Have you used modeling clay? Are you using the Hi Comp pistons? I'm just curious, sounds like one hell of a Hot Rod

I'm just curious, sounds like one hell of a Hot Rod Megacycle's replica of the Norris RR3 (not yet, but the plan is to drop it in the coming winter) and the pistons are FBF/Wiseco hicomps check the current configuration here: http://kirra.net/v11/2005/
helicopterjim R.I.P.
I think you will like the FBF high comp pistons very much. I have them in my bike and it is soooo much more responsive. It is not much more faster but many more times rideable! Easy to install and PM me if you need a PCIII map. I have one that is close to usable - it needs a little tweaking if you are like mine!!
