The Prices of HIDs is high and may come down in a couple of years. I was even thinking of getting a pair of Bicycle HID lights but I suspect the beam patterns might not be suitable. Guest carlomoto Posted April 2, 2003 Share Posted April 2, 2003 I looked at HID, too. The cost was more than I could swallow, so I just bought a PIAA super bright. MUCH brighter. The blue-ish color of the bulb gives the headlight an interesting look against the rest of the bike as well. The reason for the low power draw is the HID system uses its own seperate ballast to heat up the xenon gas. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
