So John,

Here's a question or two in regard to the engine paint: How did you get MGNA to cover this, because so far none of us have had any luck pinning-down MGNA or the dealers on how MG is going to handle this.

Also, when they did take care of you, how did MGNA address the problem? Did they send you new cases? ....repaint yours?? ...and in the end what kind of paint did the new/replaced/repainted cases have... the new '03 smooth paint, or some new version of the '02 "fuzzy" paint that just isn't supposed to bubble this time?

thx!

About 6 months ago I put in a warranty claim on the engine case. It took awhile and it looked like I might not get it. My Dealer, (Branchville motors in CT) has a really good rapport with MGNA.

Suggestions of money or gear was thrown around but I pushed my dealer to push MGNA.

Then one day a new engine block and seal kit arrived! (second one my dealer recieved)

It is the wrinkle coat but looks much better than the old one. Hope it holds up!

Good dealers are a treasure, support them! :notworthy:
