Useful tools and supplies for Guzzi

I'm sure this will date me but back when I was taking electronics in junior college, the instructor was bemoaning the fact that there was no "dotted chalk" for outlining portions of diagrams drawn on the chalk board. During a short break, I went up to the board and grabbed one of the longer pieces of chalk and by holding it by the back end only, I could get it to chatter on the board and make a dotted line. Once I started that, about 3 other guys joined me and in 5 short minutes, we had completely covered the board in dotted lines. The instructer returned and nearly went nuts. "How did you do all that in only 5 minutes?" We showed him and were thanked duly - after cleaning the board. I don't recall that it helped my grades any though. Dry markers just don't have that facility. Another useful technique lost to progress. Sigh...
