I just got Michelin PR3s after much research on the web. It is the most popular choice of Revzilla customers by a wide margin. The PR4s may be better for water ejection from the front wheel contact patch, but the 3s are already great at that, and I don't ride in the rain if I can help it. The PR3s are cheaper, but still expensive.

I have the reverse cones. They are loud, although they come with sound suppressors (which I haven't tried). The Guzzi crossover softens the rasp slightly, I discovered after I installed a Mistral crossover. I don't think the reverse cones are the best sounding aftermarket pipes, but they are the best looking pipes for the V11.

Redline 20w50 and Shockproof Heavy gear oil.

My handle bars are not clip-ons. I have a Ballabio. Yes, the bar end weight was replaced with an aluminum adapter that is expansion fitted just like the original bar end. I can't say vibration was ever a problem for my hands, but it was for the original mirrors. Bar vibes blurred the hell out of the rear image and shook the mirrors out of adjustment no matter how well tightened down. Thats all a dim memory now. Since the adapter is expansion fit, one size fits all.

LowRyter, your problem got handled, but for anyone else reading this thread, CRG makes a bar end billet adapter. 20 bucks apiece. Remove your bar end weights, stick these adapters into the bar ends and mount your mirrors to them. That's what's on my bike.

Just got back from my morning ride. Listening to these pipes while upshifting or downshifting is like listening to Bach organ music. What a rush!

I bought Mistral reverse cones, no power commander, just a shop tune up, and I can't wait to get on the bike every morning. Do it.

Yes, put a trickle charger on the battery. I have had one for years and wouldn't be without it.

What about the tappet noise? Diminished?

I just bought one! If you have stock pipes, put on a pair of Mistral reverse cone mufflers. They sound fantastic and they are the best looking pipes for the V11, in my opinion.

I got mine from jcpakbikes.com. They order direct from Alpina. Took three weeks but that was unusually fast. J.C. told me to expect three to six weeks. I just moved to southern Florida and my bike is arriving today with my furniture from Massachusetts. I am jonesing for a warm weather ride in December, but Ha!, there is a freeze warning on here overnight.

Just the mufflers. I anguished for about 5 minutes about getting the crossover as well, and I probably will at some point, but it runs fine and sounds wonderful with the stock xover.

I put Mistral reverse cone megaphones on my Ballabio this month and it's the best money I have yet spent on the bike. Smaller than stock mufflers, they look like they were designed for the bike. The sound is OMYGOD good and the cost was less than $600 from MG Cycle.

I'm putting reverse cone Mistrals on the bike, too. When installed, I'll post a pic of both new additions. As to the weight of the wheels, I can't say. They're on the bike now, so I can't weigh them and frankly, even if there were no weight savings, I'd be glad I got them.

Got Alpina red hub, black spoke, red rim wheels for my Ballabio from jcpakbikes, the U.S. distributer. Had them mounted yesterday. Really superb looking wheels. Thanks y'all for your input.

For what it's worth the Stelvio has Alpina spokes on Ber rims 180/55 17 rear, so I guess this is as good a test as any. But who gives a stuff about that. They are so damn hot you'll be issue-ing every time you open your garage door. Jaundiced in no time - you've been warned! Has anyone had any issues with Alpina spoke wheels? I want to put them on my V11 and I am concerned about the air-tightness of the rims with tubeless tires.
