Hey guys I'm going to be driving the bike to school and I was wondering what sort of security device to get. I would die if it was stolen.

Just out if curiosity how long can a Guzzi last. Mine only has 15k miles.

The more the merrier! Scud that is very nice of you. When he told me that the bike was mine to keep I was so surprised and excited and I hope that more people get to feel like that.

Kiwi_Roy that is a great idea. If anyone near anoka MN would be willing to take me out on some dirt bikes or something I would be extremely grateful.

I understand and appreciate everones concern about me starting on the Guzzi. I would love to start on a smaller bike but I don't have access to one and I can't afford to spend that kind of money when I need to be saving for college as well as my flight time in the Robinson. If it helps, my parents set a bunch of rules about where and when I can ride it. I can't ride at night or on the freeway and I can only drive to school and friends houses until I go to college.

No unfortunately. I didn't have a helmet and he insisted I have one. He said I have to take a basic rider class before I ride it as either a passenger or driver. Scud, that's a beautiful area in the picture. Where is that?

Haha yeah. It's alright though. I've ridden motor scooters and mopeds for a long time if that helps

My uncle came by to test ride it. I heard him gun it as soon as he got around the corner and when he came back he had a big smile on his face. My aunt said she didn't think it would run again and my uncle said he forgot how much easier it is to drive than his 1994 Ducati 900. I can't wait until spring when I have my license and I can drive it!

Also my oil light doesn't come on when I shut the bike down. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I have not adjusted the valves. It isn't to loud and I think I'm just not used to hearing it because my cars engine is buried in about a foot of steel (crown Victoria).

Hey guys I'm noticing a ticking noise that's coming from the engine or nearby. It ticks every time a cylinder fires.

It's been 4 years since it's driven anywhere. I think I will just run it in my garage when I get home from school today and do my homework while keeping an eye on it.

Do you guys know where I can find some touch up paint? I need red and grey.

There is a little smoke when revving but I think it's just because of the cold.

I think this must be it. I touched it with finger and it's not thick enough to be oil. It's also black and I just changed the oil so it can't be from the engine. Its about 50° here right now so it's definitely cold.

Hey guys as I was testing the bike I noticed that a few drops of oil came out of the exhaust pipe where there is clamp (right before the muffler's) and that when I turn the bike off sometimes the oil light comes on. I am kind of concerned. Does anyone know what could be causing this?

I have to flush the clutch and brake fluids and put new stuff in. I have never done this before. Do I need a vacuum pump or anything?

Hey guys! She runs! I was able to get the fuel tank on with the ratchet straps. That solution works very well. The no start issue was a few things (sticky starter solenoid, hardened electrical grease in the ignition switch, too much resistance in the starter circuit). I will post some diagrams of the changes I made (credit to Kiwi_Roy). I had to get a new fuel pump too because I snapped the little plastic nozzle off the plastic side by cranking down on the hose clamp. I will probably make a more detailed post on how to free up a stuck fuel pump. Now it's just a few little things and some cosmetics to finish. Does anyone know where I can get some touch up paint?

Hey guys. I'm ready to try starting the bike but the fuel tank won't go forward enough to get the bolt in. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Alright. So I've been working on the startus interuptus fix with help from Roy. I'm almost done but I have a couple questions. Which relay is relay 1? Is it the farthest to the front or to the back? Thanks!
