  1. Chuck, the previous owner used pipe saddle clamps with rubber inserts. He clamped them around the Teckno pannier brackets on the bike then bolted them to the saddlebags. The bags themselves are plastic which he reinforced the insides with fiber glass. They were quite secure but they were definitely not easy on easy off. I'm not sure what make or where the bags came from. The Teckno soft bags also came with the bike which is what I prefer.
  2. I finally have a V11 Greenie. Brought it home this week. I knew the bike was in mint shape with a few added accessories like the exhaust and Teckno luggage with hardcases that fit the Teckno brackets. Added accessories like Ferracci performance airbox, Moto Evoluzione footrest locator and MPH adjustable handlebar kit is just a bonus! Heres some pictures. With the hardbags
  3. Dave, good to here from you. This is the bike that Steve was going to buy. I finaly have a Greenie!!
  4. I did the deal!! I will post some pictures soon.
  5. Also thanks everyone for the compliments!
  6. I totally agree also. Looking forward to have this bike in my garage. When I found this forum I was blown away by the amount of knowledge everyone contributes especially the above mentioned names and I'm sure there are many more that haven't been mentioned.
  7. Going to look/buy it tomorrow (the bike is 200 miles from where I live) but bringing a trailer with me, because I know it's coming home with me!!. Details and pics to follow.
  8. Thanks Scud. Yeah I've been soaking up all the info this forum has on the V11. Looking forward to owning this Greenie!!
  9. Scud, I put his price in US dollars, works out to about $6500 CDN. The 2001 V11 comes with the two plate clutch, correct? Gio, I'll keep that in mind, thanks.
  10. I'll have to get the bike first and listen to it, but hey you never know. Yeah he does have 2 Greenies now. The second one he snagged was one I looking at, but he got it first. He's fast.
  11. Gio, those cans are Staintune. Good call in asking Gord at Valley Motorcycles. That's where I purchased my Norge
  12. Have been looking at this 2001 V11 Greenie to purchase and just thought I could get some feedback on it. Its got 60,000 km (40,000 miles) on it. Mileage might be a little high but I know Guzzi's just get better with miles. Has had all factory updates including gearbox recall at 20,000 km. I figure with this mileage a lot of the quirks should be sorted out. The owner is asking $5000 but flexible on the price. New fuel pump, filter, battery and starter solenoid. New Brembo rotors and pads. Comes with Teckno semi hard pannier kit and custom hard panniers. Centre stand, heated grips and other goodies.
  13. Thanks Scud for the link, just a little to far. Might have a line on one a little closer to home.
  14. New here, been soaking up all the info this site has on the V11 sport. Have my eye on a 2001 Greenie V11 Sport. I spotted a Greenie at the MGNOC national rally this year and immediately fell in love with that bike. So now I'm looking for one to add o the stable. Currently tour on a 2012 Norge and the hooligan in me, I ride the Super Duke.
