Soren you could turn up in the Shaguar
Mal
:D Good one, Mal. I'll let Mrs. Tikkanen know...
The Scura should be ready in Spring, inshallah. It's a bit poof to go to a Guzzi rally by car, so Black Betty will be on the road, goddammit. Clutch/gearbox issues haven't yet been solved as my wrenchmonkee is still waiting for the bits to arrive from bella Italia.
@Guy: I will be there for sure, no matter how, so count me in, please.
You all have a nice weekend with plenty of food and vino.
Cheers

Just proves to show that Norwegians are bloody loaded! Anywhere else in the world you would have a ferry crossing. Not jealous....not all..
Norway is one of the most beautiful places to visit; the countryside is a bit like BC, Canada with endless roads and beautiful fiords. Mindtaking scenery is to expect; only make sure tha your creditcard is loaded. Have never ever visited such an expensive countr before!

Trying to plan a meet at the Scottish Rally next May, anyone interested I know Guy and Helen come up for that heard a rumor of visitors from Netherlands and Denmark. Let me know as i have accommodation in Edinburgh, but i would need to book it out.
Count me, Monsieur Macguzzi! After 16 years in the armed forces I've seen my fair share of forrests and have been camping in God's free nature so now I'm a comfy bastard who likes my bed. And indoors, preferably.
Jaap and I have talked about either catching the ferry from Ijmuiden/Netherlands (two fairies on a ferry??) or do a hard routine and drive up through England and meet the Lewis´, Foodys, Mal, Magnus and anyone else who would like to join.
Roll on May, we need some tarmac under the wheels!

I am going to have the Tank Shop make one. They said they can make a V11 tank from previous fabrications. I am just having the stock tank remade in aluminum.... Ive been stationed oversees for a while and its going to be a little gift for myself for when I get home. Before I start asking them questions about their mold I figured I would try to get some general information on v11 tanks... as I cant even look at mine.
But I am putting it on a 2002 Le Mans... and they probably have a mold for a sport... so I am hoping that I hear there are no differences.
Hi, Mr. Beemer
I only have very bad experiences with The Tank Shop. You gotta be P A T I E N T as in 'patient', in fact very patient. He promised to fix me a tank for my Scura and one year later (1 year) he called me and said the tank would be ready in a month or so. It wasn't. In fact to this date I haven't seen or heard anything from the good John Williams so I would rather look in the alutank.de direction.
Just my two cents based on my experience with Tank Shop.

Have faced the same kind of people several times so I'll chime in, too.
One bloke asked: "Why do you ride that mediocre piece of s***"? and I replied: "'Cos that's the bike I want". Period.
Could have bought a 1000cc Japper, an Aprilla Mille or a Duc 999 for the same amount that the Scura costs, but I didn't. I wanted the Scura. Fecking simple, isn't it?
You all have a good one
Cheers

Hey V11 fans
I know it's a fairly common problem...my alternator cover is starting to look tatty as the silver/grey paint is peeling off.
What have you done? Does it polish up nicely on the bare metal or have you repainted?
Look forward to hearing your experiences and seeing pics of the work.
Ride safe
Pete
Hi Pete,
I have the same problem as you so I've decidded to get som some thinner and remove the old paint. A splash of matte black and I'm happy. If you're loaded get a CF cover; costs a fortune but looks ace.
See this link: CF alternator cover

I love riding in the UK and Ireland but if you want consistent good riding weather we live in the wrong place!
Not riding at all right now as the Scura has blown the clutch and is now parked at the mechanics in Copenhagen. Will be expensive! Feck....

That's great!
and thanks, Tikka!
this is more lile 'show us what you do with your Tontis'
more pics of our raceteam HERE
Complete story for those who can read dutch, but pics do say enough, don't they? MGB Racing
I'm sitting with the biggest smile on my face right now (pants on, mind you!): This is REAL racing; minor teams bringing their love and pride to the track and kicking the s*** out it. Lovely!
This picture says it all: Link to races
"Are you hanging on, mate"? Excellent!
Miss the sidecars in todays GP scene, they were always a guarantee for superb action back in Eighties. Pity they don't race in the 'big' races First time I see Guzzi powered sidecars, great!!
Thanks for sharing and good luck with your team.

Does anyone know of a source of seal kits for the V11 clutch master cylinder? I'm loath to pay £180 for a new cylinder when it's only the rubber bits that need changing!

Alan

Oh my f%%€ goodness! You can almost smell the Castrol engine oil and hear the roar from these classic machines. Damn; that's real bikes IMO.
The Magni Guzzi finished a very respectable 7th according to the Magni newsletter I received. Well done!
Thanks, Slavomir! I'll nick it and post on FB.

She certainly looks like a blast! Have you any plans to race her in the UK, or maybe do some track days next year?
We have done a couple of informal track days in the UK before with forum members and its well overdue that we do another!
There's a good chance I'll be in Europe next year for an extended time. If that's the case I'd love to do some trackdays in the UK.
Just saw an article of your mighty fine Guzzi in the August edition of Classic Bike. Great looking bike, mister G-Gray!
Cheers

I just got this and thought I should share it. Can't even think how one could avoid it. I wouldn't be surprised if that moron was texting.
Jeeezuz Christ! One lucky pal he is. And "thanks" to Susan Moore In Her 4x4 for the 'entertainment'..... NOT!

Just returned from my annual trip to Assen, NL, for the WSB and WSS. Once again action packed racing and lots of drama.
See pics here: Assen WSB & WSS

A chicken farmer went into a local tavern and took a seat at the bar next to a woman patron and orders a glass of champagne.
The woman perks up and says, "How about that? I just ordered a glass of champagne, too!"
He turned to her and said, "What a coincidence. This is a special day for me, I'm celebrating."
"This is a special day for me, too, and I'm also celebrating!" says the woman.
"What a coincidence," says the man. They clinked glasses and he asked, "What are you celebrating?"
"My husband and I have been trying to have a child. Today, my gynecologist told me I'm pregnant!"
"What a coincidence," says the man. "I'm a chicken farmer and my last batch of hens were infertile, but today they're finally fertile."
"That's great!" says the woman, "How did your chickens become fertile?"
"I switched cocks," he replied.
"What a coincidence," she said
:D Brilliant!

Clean your monitor
You know that you have to clean the inside of your aquarium occasionally.
This is usually done with a magnetic brush attached to the inside of the aquarium and it's controlled with a magnetic wand from the outside.
Well, now there's a similar tool for the inside of your monitor which is controlled by moving your mouse.
You may have seen it or used it before, but it's time to clean it again.
Bloody brilliant, John

It's amazing to imagine as many as 70, or 80 or 100!! all together – and at the track!
You will have to make a sound recording.
It's also our dream to have that many Guzzi's on the track.
It will be a little bit like this:
Wow! Looks like you guys had a wonderful day despite the rain. Seeing so many Guzzis gathered in one place is rare so thanks for sharing, Guznax
I really fancy the white Le Mans (5:06 - 5:39 mins), that's a cool looking motor! Could be an upcoming paint scheme for my Scura when I get my new aluminium tank from John Williams/The Tank Shop primo March, inshallah.
Good luck with your event and I'll be looking forward to more mouthwatering video clips.
Cheers
