  1. 68C, thanks for spending.

I'm trying the other way, copying the 15m maps in a 15rc ecu. My wireloom is from a v11 Kat, so has the one extra wire for the lambda.

But a 15m will never do Lambda regulation.

I know there are a few different hardware versions of the 15m, the letter behind the 15m could be a8 or something else.

I know the ducati people speak of with sidestandswitch or not depending of the ecu variation. Maybe they just work.

    ducati is 15M.A8 or 15M.A0, on guzzi I've seen 15M.C1 and 15M.C5.

But anyway if a ducati ecu doesn't work, just write back the original map and than it can go. And let us know so anyone knows.

Most closed loop ecu's only close the loop in certain conditions. Most when constant speed is used. At the moment you open the throttle, it's not regulating.

  2. So today I made the last test from beta writer softwere. All works great now. No worry about loosing the ecu, The part of the software that makes the communication for programming isn't erased. So even if something goes wrong during programming, it will allways be possible to programm again.

  3. The v11 sport front engine subframe should fit without any mods. The v11 lemans and later don't fit. Watch the diagnostics tread, in short time you will be able to flash the 15m ecu with anything you like. Like the mgs01 map

  4. Well Roy, if you are happy with myecu then all is well. For the powercommander guys, you you can alter the map just like you want, but if you have no clue, it won't help. If more people get into it, people can share what they learn, that how a community works, isn't it?

  5. The last 2 years I've been busy with others to work on diagnosics for the guzzi ECU and now reflashing it too.

First diagostics, Guzzidiag can diagnose all Guzzi ecu, from p7 to 5am. All values were checked agains my Axone.

Needed is a vag 409.1 cable with a Fiat adapter. 20$ on ebay.

Software is here and needs no instalation, linux and apple version too.

You can set errors and tps with the ecu's that can do that:

a typical screen, langage can be set in options.

    gdwaarden.jpg

Now we work on the programming of the 15m and 15rc ecu as found on the V11. The tool to download the ecu map is ready

Editing the map is done woth Tunerpro, an free map editing program. The config so that it understands the Guzzi map can you get from me.

    http://www.tunerpro.net/download/SetupTunerProFree_v500_8075.exe

And the upload tool is reday.

Further we try to collect all types of guzzi maps to get a library, so mail downloaded maps to guzzidiag@gmail.com

A view of how editing works:

  6. I've actualized javascript, but problem is not solved.

What a strange thing: all windows appear (Link, My Media, Smiley, etc..), but the one of "image"

Are you shure you did update javascript, most people confuse java and javascript, they have nothing in common. Maybe a popupbloker in the way, Google toolbar with that funcyionality?

@Martin, you didn't find the mark as solved feature yet?

  7. Jaap has installed client software for Tapatalk. This is software that makes it easy to browse forums on smartphones and tablets. I did notice that the simple layout is much better in theis release on my phone, but Tapatalk makes it more usefull. You find it in the Andoid market of App store. It costs 2.29$ bu I think it's worth it. I believe you can return it within short time to get a refund if you don't like it.

  8. Hi Pete, great to hear from you: I thought you'd disappeared, but then I haven't been posting much either, nor checking other places where you might be active.

As you can see I'm in a further period of disenchantment. This bike has been off the road more than on it and I don't know where to turn for help. Ive done everything i can to look after it and fix the 'official' bodges and failures. I'll strip the thing down if needs be, but the problem of dealing with the computerised electronics creates a brick wall.

The error code points to the speedo sensor, but the speedo has been working fine, including all the way back home from my break-down on Friday (I'll leave it to your interpretation as to whether that means my breakdown or the bike's, or both). I wonder if the logged error code is from a past incident. As I understand it, the ECU errors remain logged, they aren't cleared in the way that the dash display errors are cleared? So that 56 code may not be connected with the serious error alert that is permanently appearing at the bottom of the dash display. However there is no other error code showing in the on-board readout, just the 56.

If the ECU was damaged, would you expect there to be a subsequent error code showing? In addition to the ECU, mounted out front, where is the separate control unit located? Is it by the alternator? I don't see it, so far.

Sorry to bombard, but... another question: what is involved in changing or adjusting the neutral sensor/switch? I think that you did change the neutral switch on a 1200 Griso? I can't get at it without removing the air box and that means disconnecting and removing various other things as well. Is the switch height adjustable? All I can see is a white terminal post, I can't see whether there is a nut or any form of screw adjustment.

    D

There is no other control unit, there is the ecu and the dash has a computer inside.

It looks like two seprerate faults, solve each of them. When the speedo sensor has watter in it, the speed display stops, and you get the nasty service error in the display. On the otehr hand when the sensor starts working again, the service will go away after some time.

With Ducatidiag you can reset the error's yourself.

  10. The Challenge Question on the registration screen is a bit too vague and it makes it very difficult to register.

    The current question is:

    What is this forum about?

    The current answer is:

    V11

The answer could be one of many things.

    A better question could be:

Where in the world are Moto Guzzi motorcycles made?

    - italy

    - mandello

    - mandello del lario
