  1. for everyone interested, I can get you in contact with a guy near MIlan, Italy that makes shock absorbers locally with the same characteristics of the Ohlins, same kind of technology, at the cost of 450 euro plus delivery charges.
  2. Tekno bags are available in italy, I guess the supplier might have simply run out of stock or decided not to supply them anymore, but as others said it shouldn't be difficult to find them. Onestly I wouldn't adapt the side racks to use givi or HB hard bags, cause being har bags you probably load them more than soft bags and I don't know if they will stand the weight. I was thinking about buying the tekno bags, just for my curiosity, how much did you load in the bag? where did it brake? the textile, the holder? how did you fit the tourmaster soft bags on the tekno side racks? are the tekno bags waterproof? If I am not wrong they are supplied with a rain cover. Ever thought about folding your belongings into waterproof bags and fit them inside the tourmaster bags and forget about the leakage?
  3. at the moment I am fine, I will probnably ride the V11 to dublin next september, and I will be ok for the next 5000 miles, I was just starting considering whom to refer to for the future regular mantenance.
  4. and the price...... what currency?
  5. Xtreme 02891 812153 02891 819746 Northern Ireland BT23 8NN Portaferry Road - Newtownards - Co. Down w.bailie@btconnect.com found this among the official UK dealers on the Moto Guzzi web site. Anybody knows anything about it? It would be the same time to go here or to Colwyn bay from Dublin, but I would not have to get the ferry.
  6. this topic interests me a lot, no dealers in the republic of ireland, could anyone suggets a good one in northern ireland or in wales? around holyhead or Liverpool? thanks
  7. My mind is going nuts, I always forget something: the soft sadlebags usually have straps that cross the saddle, I think that those straps make the saddle not very comfortable for the pilion, what do you think? RKA look nice, but, as I said they are too small for me, and I want to preserve the body and paint of my bike.
  8. According to my idea of using the motorbike and my personal idea of touring, the best side bags at the moment are the tekno ones, fast and easy to mount on the bike, frames that keep them far from the body. They are not wateproof but this can be overcome by using some waterproof bags inside. The H&B are very good and well made cases, but according to me they are too huge on the Le Mans, the other soft luggage are either too small or take time to be set up on the motorbike, and I don't believe that they absolutely do not scratch the paint. About the bagster I know that they make a very good tank bag and tank cover, colo coded. And both should bee waterproof ( I really hate those water covers, had them with the givi soft bags, they simply teared apart after a couple of hours under the rain, on the motorway, 120km/h). Since we are talking about luggage and racks, which back rack is tougher, the last moto-guzzi one or the Stucchi?
  9. Did you use the universal side carriers and rack from Givi or did you adapt some?

sorry about that, pilion, I wanted to say Pilion

    luggage

I forgot to ask: how is the surface of the bag that faces the motorbike? does it scratch the paint? how do the straps that cross the saddle affect the comfort for the piliar?

    luggage

The bags do not look really sporty, but very efficient. Do they need frames or racks to be mounted on the motrbike? or, do the company provide frames? Do they fit on the V11? also respecting the 10cm distance from the mufflers as the company suggests?
  13. Hi everybody. I contacted the guys from rosso puro italia, asking if the solution "risers plus handlebar" that they have fits under tha V11 Le Mans fairing, and they said: YES! they adapted the plate plus risers plus handlebar to a V11 Ballabio and mounted the V11 Le Mans fairing, and it works. It is expensive, 320 euro, but seems to be the most convincing strategy.
  14. Just checked the web site, but the link does not work to me.
  15. Hi, I have not planned anything by now, and being in Dublin is not very far. We could talk about it, the V11 is in Italy, but the always running California II is here in Dublin.
  16. A couple of times, you know, we are called "bugia nen" which in our dialect means that we don't move

    Le Mans Luggage?

http://www.obairlann.net/~reaper/motorcycl...es/lemans-bags/ here you find the Le Mans with the Hepco & Becker Journey bags. There are different threads about luggages and bags, just write for "panniers" or "bags" or "luggages" in the technical and how to topics, and you will find a lot of different solutions, but the only commercial available are the H&B and the Tekno, as I know. There are several rear racks, the original, the one made by Agostini, the one made by ventura http://www.calamander.co.uk/luggage/ventura/vbuild.htm#kits that support many kinds of topcase, givi, H&B have an adaptor to be fixed on the rack.

    Tank bra

what about the tank cover from bagster?
  20. Unfortunaltely that's true, one of the great has gone.
  21. Avigliana is not far from Turin, there are two wonderful lakes surroundid by the mountains and the road goes up the valley, and it is possible to go on the top of the mountain and down in the next valley, those roads according to me have been made for the V11.
  22. The motorbike is a 2003 red/black V11Le Mans, with the power commander updated to the last release. It has 12500km, almost 7000miles. As I said the engine is fluid, the brakes are great and the shock absorbers are fantastic. I cannot imagine if I chosed the Rosso corsa. The good thing is that since is second hand I had it for 4500 euro less than the new one, but according to me it is as new. I forgot to say, tha fairing is protecting a lot against the airflow and I really don't feel the vibrations on the handlebar, might be that I am used to those of the California II? at any speed the trajectory is straight and clean, and the motorbike is very handy and light while turning. OK, let's stop praising her otherwise she will become red...........
  23. Hi everybody, I rode the V11 Le Mans for the first time last saturday: let's start from the nightmare part: the motorbike is a second hand one red and black, with 12500km and 2 years of life. I bought it from the dealer in Turin, Italy, and I wanted to kill them for what they did to my baby, since thay had to paint the fairing, due to a couple of scratces from the previous owner, they unbilt the fairing and forgot to fix the right mirror and connect the turning lights, but that's a problem of them. The first real problem was that the motorbike didn't want to start, so they checked the electric cables without finding any problem. Then it started but the lights, the horn, the rpm indicator, and all the instrument lights were not working, after trying the fuses they simply removed the relees and place them back and everything was working then. Is that a miracle or what? The first approach was not the one I was expecting, but then I went riding. The motorbike is wonderful, the brakes excellent, the engine is very smooth between 2000rpm and 5000rpm, and becomes very aggressive (a missile for one that was riding a California II) over 5000 rpm. The motorbike is stuck to the ground, even now that the roads are covered with frost. I am impressed, I didn't want to leave it. I also realized that I ride it differently in a road full of turns, I stay more close to the tank, while I sit more back on the seat when riding long straight distances. It ispossible to ride it in a more tourng way keeping it below 5000rpm, or in a more sport like way keeping it over 5000, amazing, great bike.
