  1. I found the bike of my dreams and bought it . . . Rosso Corsa.
  2. Does anyone have any more factual info on this? How does this work? I thought all of the MG's came out of the N.C. warehouse. Only difference in cost to dealer is freight, no?
  3. A few more using aprilia's new 600cc (550) V-twin . . . Global Sport Urban Tracker SportStrada And what the Breva may become . . .
  4. California GT California mille V8 Le Mans Sport
  5. It seems guzzis are more expensive due to labor costs . . . they are virtually "hand built." A modern factory with robotic assembly line (ala John Bloor's Triumph) would do wonders for driving the cost down. All it takes is a fire and insurance settlement.
  6. 60 degree V-twin aprilia Falco. . . Assimilate this! . . .

    Hi from Holland

! Very nice. Don't be a stranger. Post away!
  8. I would be interested in a link to both. Thanks.
  9. This from a non-guzzi owner (for the present time) . . . this thread would have made much more sense if Enzo had bought an aprilia RSV mille . . . which is not a "throw away" bike as are most rice rockets. Of all the jap bikes out there, the RC51 is the only one I would consider buying, but not for any of the same reasons I am infatuated with the V11's. Even the moto-magazines realized the RSV vs RC51 shootout made sense, as there have been numerous reviews written, comparing these two bikes. Nicky Hayden made the RC51 what it is today, but the aprilia has much more lasting soul . . . at a price, agreed. But who want's to spend a bundle on a throw away?
  10. I would recommend the Continental Road Attacks. Here is a review you may find helpful. I personally found them to be very sticky, with sensitive feedback. Clicky di Picky for Conti web site
  11. I too am in the infancy stages of possible MG ownership. I found this thread of particular interest. Check it out and let us know what you think.

    My Route

I personally would prefer to be on a LeMans (fairing). I'm curious as to how riding a naked, that far and that fast will affect the wind fatigue factor. Good luck. BTW, how do you have your V1 set up, and can you hear any aural warnings?
  13. Triumph Thruxton Cup This is the type of racing I would like to see MG and Ducati get into. I would pay to see Triumph vs. MG vs. Ducati vs. Norton

    quick questions

Here's an interesting comparison between the Stucchi and Mistral cross-overs. Looks as if there is a definite difference.
  15. I know the sick feeling well Dr Gill...from recent experience. Insurance will pay for all your gear, plus the tow truck. Glad your injuries were not more serious.

    BREAK IN

More break-in philosophy I'm glad I did a search before posting. I see this has already been discussed. I was reading the "oil consumption" thread and it reminded me of moto-man's break-in procedures. I am curious as to who followed "factory" procedures, and who followed "moto-man's" (ie. Ken @ Evoluzione). Most of the critical posts in this thread seem to have been written by people who perhaps did not critically/thoroughly read moto-man's procedures, and his explanations as to "why" it is best. I'm not a mechanical engineer, but I can understand his arguments, and they make sense to me. If I end up with a brand new bike, I'm going to follow his procedures. I would be interested to hear from those who are having oil consumption problems as to the break-in procedure you used.
  17. Does anyone know of a hollow axle Rosso Corsa in the States?
  18. I agree. These Conti's are for a 5.5 inch rear rim.
  19. Better than fine wine . . . a classic Guzzi color!
  20. Just to keep the most interesting part of this thread going!
