the tent i take most is my great outdoors, made in nz and weights just 1.75 kg and takes up very little space.bought originaly for back packing. when i was much younger and much more energetic. but realised after discusion on tents [ last trip] that i had been using it for 20 years this year. very quick to put up,and pull down. was not cheap at time of purchase,but has surved me well.

being a patient is a bit like joining a religion. where you are to feel obligated to visit regularly or accept the consequences of your non compliance.but they cure nothing, they can give some short term relief though i think, but could never be to sure as only went when at my worst,and was allways told that it takes 2-3 days for improvement after treatment, the one thing i am sure of is it's a good cash income business for the practioners.

i was at one time considering manufacturing walking stick, crutch racks for harleys as there seemed to be many of their riders needing walking supports..seemed most bought the pride and joy from the previous ride after the insurance claim.. l

polish after cleaning with rag soaked from petroleum jelly.same stuff used for the babys bum.cheap from supermarket,good for vinyl seat protection.all the plastic and rubber bits, hoses etc..anti rust rub over for tools. and a thousand other uses..known as vaseline here...

i wear mainly black gear. black helmet, metal grey and black bike, and even stay with black tyres but do allways ride with headlight on [low beam] exhausts fairly quite.. but stay with my belief. keep moving past any traffic,never sit behind, or infront for more than a minute or two keep moving forward of others,never trust other vehicles to do the right thing, and keep eyes scanning. it's interesting to note that here they've just dropped compulsery db compliance plate on mufflers. being thinkin bought tyres.as i need another set. at present i have worn out bridgestones. 020 on rear, 014 front they're shagged. i got 9500 km out of them. better than 7800 km from the original fittment of bt56. i thought the bridgies worked ok but leaning toward the pilots, [might get down to price] ciao.

just back from another top ride. left early sat morn over the mountain to the tablelands 400+ km ride to the vietnam vets [n.s.w branch] annual show and shine.4 bands exotic dancers hundreds of harleys and all that jazz. but with a lot of these type of things it's very much the journey,and not so much the destination. i didn't want a tatoo or a leather vest or maltese cross mirrors or leather tassles for my bar ends. but it was a destination and a reason for a ride. morris sod did the ride with me on his rosso. and we had great fun passing the harley dudes through the twisties on the return journey. though one repassed us when we hit the straights whilst we were doing 140k. soon rounded him up and showed him his 1500 screaming eagle can't out accelerate the raptor and passed him doing 200k no worries. a great ride and good weather. somtimes a little hot though . so at the momment at least the answer is . yeah its the ride ,and not so much the destination. ps and now i'm up for two new tyres.

[cobra or titan ] when they came onto market in early 70s. one of two fellows i knew at time who came seriously undone. they were very fast for that time. this one crested hill at 90 mph in 35 mph zone 11.30 at night. the car was doing u turn.
