  1. Ok, I've removed the three bolts on the triple tree(one from behind each handlebar, and one near the tank), I then removed the two bolts that hold the instrument cluster to the triple tree. My triple tree clamp is still not budging, is there another bolt or two somewhere that I'm missing?

  2. I was shooting for something a little more eye catching and I didn't really think the black hugger goes that well with the bike. I thought it it looked too big and just stuffed under there. I think it now looks better and not as stuffed under there. thanks for the comments. I'm going too have too get the tank re-painted sooner or later but may do something completely different if I get the guts(like black and silver of some sort), so this will do until then.

  3. Nicely done. If one is determined to mount an albatross on one's bike, it might as well be painted red! :bier:

    I agree with the albatross comment, I really liked the look without it on, but while I make the spring protecter I figured I might as well paint it red to see what it would look like. I've ridden it a bit and I probably will have to wipe it down every 500 miles or so, but no big deal. I clear coated it twice so it will do until I get the spring cover piece made. I'll post more pics when I paint the exhaust and peg hangers.

  4. The top triple tree clamp the the handlebars are screwed into, will anything happen if I loosen it up and take it off? I need to put on my convertibar clamps and just want to make sure I don't need to support the bike.

  5. :stupid::stupid::stupid:

    I have never seen one for sale (I don't even know if they exist in my country) but if I ever do I will buy it immediately for whatever price I have to pay. Then, personally, I would convert it to naked (carefully retaining all original parts) with Guzzirider's bike as an inspiration, and just put the fairing on for longer trips.

    There is a beautiful one on ebay, its located in Italy though. Hope this link works http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/V11-Le-Mans...1QQcmdZViewItem

  6. What do ya'll think? Don't know if anyone else has ever painted the hugger, I think it looks pretty good. Painting the exhaust and footpeg hangers close to the porkchop colors too.

  7. Just got a pair of convertibar mounts and wondering whether to mount them above or below the clamp. So my question is how is handling affected if I lower the top clamp(and everything else involved) about 3/4 of an inch. How is handling affected if I raise the top clamp so that its almost even with the top of the tubes?

  8. This Sunday is the last match day and decision day for dutch championship. PSV has thrown away a 12 point lead and now there are three teams (Ajax Amsterdam, PSV Eindhoven and AZ Alkmaar) who share first place at the moment! AZ with manager Louis van Gaal has the best chances. Although I think Van Gaal is a major ***hole, his team has shown the nicest football this season and should win.

    One thing is sure, it'll be exciting to watch!

    Although we don't get a lot of dutch futbol games here in the states, I'm pulling for Ajax. They were one of the first teams I ever saw play on tv here, I believe they were playing AC Milan when they had Roberto Baggio.

  9. I bought my le mans off a guy your size becuase it was way to small for him. The thing about these bikes is that they have a long reach to the bars and short reach to the pegs. I put on the motobits rearsets which give and extra inch or two and at 5'9" (30inch inseam) I feel a little cramped on longer rides. If you can't get your hands on one to test, try sitting on a chair and tucking your legs under the chair for a while(resting your feet on the legs of the chair). The distance between your hip bone and your heels will be about 16 inches.
