  1. Rat rod exhaust BTW, took her for first ride today. Even without having suspension dialed in, she handles great!!! Having lost 100+/- weight has tranformed the V11 into a lean mean carving machine. I am prolly gonna have to strap on a power commander now to dial in the new exhaust, and may even have to spring for some FBF piston kit. This bike rocks!!!
  2. Hey guys, time for an update! We put KN pods and battery in place, fabbed up a rear brake light just to get her on road, and.... she fired right up!!! The straight pipes look cool but loud as hell!!!! So.... after looking at all the exhaust options, i decided to do something different. I REALLY like the clean tail of the SM, but dont like the underpan exhaust, and the undertail, while would look cool like the MGS-01, would be crazy $$ to fabricate, etc. So, i sourced some fairly reasonable carbon shorty cans from Yamaha racing and VOILA, they sound GREAT!!!!!!! We are gonna mount them just aft of the rt brake line protector on rt and anodized guard plate on left.
  3. Belfast, one of my favorite pix from the trip. My buddy and i had just spent about an hour prior to this blasting along at WAAY illegal speeds after passing through Middlegate that Felix talks about. It is one of those riding days u remeember forever and what road trips like this are all about. Incredible speed and the feel of the Guzzi, amazing scenery and great companionship. Felix, right on bro. We ended the day of this pix in i believe Eureka, and old mining town that could have had gunslingers walking the streets. The beers that night tasted REALLY good after that day
  4. Yes, what more could a Guzzi guy wish for? :} I feel like Bruno is the modern day equivalent of Picasso or Matisse when it comes to motorcycle building. His masterpiece designs truly capture the essence of Guzzi as a sport machine.
  5. Thanks Paul, any recommendations as to where we can source the stacks from? Yeah, the 914/908 was fun project, but i have NO desire to make a custom front end again any time soon! The x-country guzzi/porsche road trip was great fun. Other than the usual starter relay issues, the V11 never missed a beat.
  6. Pix of bike as it looked on PCH last year on our trip to NC
  7. Ok, so i havent exactly been active on this forum since i bought my GB STW1100 several years ago, been mostly a lurker for this and that. Anyhow, about a year ago, i got the itch to build a Sport Monza, so in bass-ackward fashion bought the kit from Bruno first and then bought the 2001 V11 in San Francisco and rode it all the way across country to my home in NC with my buddy. Here is a thread on that adventure for those interested http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-911-technical-forum/542184-guzzi-carrera-cross-country-sprint-reflections-perfect-match.html Anyhow, work and other contraints have kept me from building the bike. In the meantime, i loaned the bike to my brother who proceeded to take it apart and fix all the little stuff. However, we kept talking about while it got the job done as a tourer cross country, she was really a sport bike in pig's clothing looking at the Sport Monza pix. Soooo, several weeks ago, i dropped the Sport Monza kit off with him, planning on doing it as a summer project. Well, lo and behold, without my knowledge, my bro proceeded to build the damn thing himself!!!! I show up yesterday and he tells me he has a surprise.... We still have to source the KN filter pods, and were going to use this digital speedo http://www.digital-speedos.co.uk/db01r-multi-function-200-p.asp (anyone have any experience with it) as it is much less $$ than GB unit. Also need to work on fitting the tank better as the mounting holes were off considerably. Stay tuned for more pix and video. This thing is totally bad-azz in person. I might even leave the stock open pipes as is they seem to fit the agressive look of the bike so much. Does anyone know how to upload hi res pix on this site. It keeps bitch slapping me.
  8. Not realy a v11, but a close cousin and my fav bike. Am working on v11 soon... stay tuned
  9. Thanks. Where can i get Alpina wheels? Have looke around and the only wheels i found were the Marvic's as PVM's have gone the way of OZ. Have left some messages with Durrani. Did anyone here get them to make a set? BTW, any pix of your bike??? Also, anyone have any problems running Magnesium wheels on the street on a regular basis?
  10. Did anyone here ever get wheels from Durrani? I am looking into getting the Marvic's but the thought of paying $3k for these when the Durrani's are look better and are cheaper....

    MGS-01 Serie pics?

Guy, is that the one at max moto? Was told it was very diff to import stateside. (anyone here heard of it being done?) Was hoping that Guzzi gets it's head out of it's ass, listens to what the enthusiast are saying everywhere, and starts producing a street legal MGS that can come here. Hell, put a stock motor in it and let us do the rest

    MGS-01 Serie pics?

Does anyone know the lastest on the MGS? Is is a go. I would sell my triumph, 900ss (but not my Ghezzi Brian STW) to buy that bike
