I wonder if there is a corresponding increase in akvavit sales as well?

I'd say gavo and raz are on the right track. The ring compresses slightly when reinstalling the pin then expands into a groove to lock the pin in place. Might even be able to see the groove in the caliper if you have a look..............

A link to some pics of the race in my hometown: http://www.classicracingteam.nl/Varsseveld%202008/index.html
This picture caught my eye. I've always been attracted to the smaller displacement bikes but have never done anything with them because I'm a BIG bike sized guy. Doesn't seem to matter to this rider! (Have fun Jaap, looks like it will be a blast)!

I just replaced the original Sparky on my '01 this spring. It was never on a charger (though I did try this spring) and always fired the bike after the winter's rest. We'll see what the Odyssey does now.

Can anyone with an 03 V11 tell me what the typical range is for a tank of gas? Or if the mapping and setup are similar for other model years, that information would be helpful also.
Id like to be able to get ranges around 200 miles without going to any extensive mods, if possible.
Thanks,
D
How much downhill road do you have?

My 01 does it for sure.

Hi Matt.
There could be many sources of trouble but it could be as simple as old gas and dirty spark plugs.
Start with the simple stuff first. Drain or syphon off as much of the old fuel as you can, top off with fresh stuff and maybe some Techtron fuel additive and new spark plugs. (Get a couple sets of spark plugs).
A search in the Technical Topics forum will turn up a couple sources for replacement relays.
Good luck!

UV doesn't affect carbon fiber, it affects the epoxy holding the carbon fibers together. Oxygen is also detrimental, maybe in synergy w/ the UV?
Only thing I know of that would protect it from UV is sunscreen. OTOH, everyday plain old car wax will protect it from the oxygen in the air.

(One of my first jobs was on the production line at a vacuum cleaner factory, you have no idea how boring THAT was!)

I think the suction cup idea is great. Hope someone tries the Genesis bag on a V11 and reports back. Might even be worth contacting the company and seeing if they have any comments regarding fit on the early V11s.

Gents!
Hope this helps.

Funny, but I always thought Pete's avitar was a cartoon caricature of some sort. Thought it was a cross between this guy and a common cow.
I checked out a couple of Yak-sites and found the very picture. Totally legit. (Actually, a slightly different picture of the same (?) animal).

By George! You're close to obtaining a point. You're just not very precise with the age.
