  1. I am thinking of getting a an FBF crossover for my 2003 LeMans to go with the FBF slip-on mufflers I already have on the bike. The bike runs fine. If I do this, will I need to change the mapping on the fuel injection due to the new crossover ? Thanks !! Leon ( Old Gitt )
  2. I plan on replacing the header pipes on my 2003 V11 LeMans due to the seals on the front crossover blowing out over time. I was able to get some used header pipes from a 2002 Scura that do not have the crossover. I thought about replacing the seals but I replaced some on a Ballabio I had a few years ago and it was a PIA. I don't want to deal with that again so I'm just gonna eliminate that with pipes that do not have that front crossover. I have new header exhaust gaskets. The way I plan on doing job is to take apart the whole system from rear to front and then assemble it from front to rear loosely and then tighten everything when I am satisfied with the fitment. I will make sure the header pipes are not stressed as I think this can cause cracking over time. ( I am assuming I can't just undo the header pipes from the head and undo the joint at the rear crossover and wiggle out the header pipe ? ) Should I use clear RTV sealant on the exhaust joints say at the header/rear crosss over and rear cross over and muffler or another sealant or any sealant at all ? Any hints or help to help me do this job right would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Leon. (Old Gitt)
  3. Hey Tim ! Received the knob today. Thanks, I really appreciate it. Leon. (Old Gitt )

    Bummer Day...

Hey czakky ! I bought my levers for my 2003 LeMans from these guys. I THINK the levers on your bike are the same as the ones on my bike. I'm trying to help but if they do not fit please don't blame me. I BELIEVE these are the levers you want. If you just need the clutch lever I think they can accommodate you. http://www.pjsparts.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=1712 Leon (Old Gitt)
  5. No problem ! Leon. (Old Gitt)
  6. YES !!! That is the one ! What is the cost ? Let me know and I will send a check. You just made my day ! Thanks, Leon. ( Old Gitt ) My email address is mishleon@msn.com
  7. I need one of those screws !! Please let me know what you find. Thanks, Leon (Old Gitt )
  8. Anybody have a reset knob and the little screw that goes inside the knob for an ITI speedo ? Mine decided to take a break and fell off on my last ride. Maybe someone has one from a broken speedo ? Thanks for any help !! Leon (Old Gitt )
  9. My bike only has 11,000 miles. Is it too early to replace the fuel filter ? The bike runs great and i believe that if it ain't broke, don't fix it. It is not like i am cheap but don't want to mess up a good running machine.
  10. How do you do this ? Also, when and how do I replace the gas filter on my 2003 LeMans with the internal filter. Should i get this filter from Guzzi or is there an aftermarket one that will work ? Will i need a new gasket for the pump assembly when i put it back on the tank ? Thanks for any help.
  11. I took my rear wheel off to change a tire. I did all of the recommended wheel off services. Just have a question. Took the six button head bolts out of the wheel to service the cush drive. The plate that engages the rubber cushions came out without messing with any bearings. Looks like whoever worked on the wheel last lubed the plate well. It slid right off. Everything looked good including the rubber cushions. They look like new. I think they were recently replaced just before i got the bike last year. My question is should I put the six screws back in the with blue locktite, anti seize paste or nothing. When I took 2 of them out, I had to whack them with an allen key but they came out cleanly. I looked at them closely and saw some grey stuff was not sure if it was corrosion or old locktite. Obviously I want to be able to get them easily next time but I also do not want them to back out. Any help would be great. Thanks !! Leon
  12. My oil pressure switch is bad. I have a new one on the way. Anything I should watch out for on replacement ie: do I need a sealant on the threads of the new switch ? Thanks for any help. Leon
  13. What oil pressure gauge did you fit ? Thanks !!
  14. Looks like I found it. I think it is a bad switch. Leon
  15. HELP ! I turn on the ignition and my oil pressure light is not working. So I change out the bulb from the tach light cause I know it is good. But that does not work either. I put a good meter between the lead from the oil pressure switch and the oil pressure switch* and I get 11.78 volts. I put the same meter on the light socket for the ops* in the dash and I get 11.78 volts. WTF. I am getting frustrated and confused. I am assuming the light should go on when the key is turned on for ignition and then off when the engine starts and builds enough pressure to turn the switch off, right ? PLEASE help ! I'm gonna get a cold one and chill out. Thanks, Leon.
  16. I am gonna need new tires to replace the Q3's on my Rossa. Any advice on a tire that will last longer than the Qs. Also any tire sales going on ? Thanks !!
  17. The front exhaust crossover on my 2003 LeMans Rossa is loose. I was going to replace the graphite gaskets but I've read they will just blow out again. I was thinking the only way to fix it permanently was with headers from a 2001 V11 (if they will fit ), Crack- Proof headers from Guzzi-Tech (if still available ), Agostini headers ( $874 !!! ). Are there any other options I have available ? Thanks for any help ! Leon
  18. Nice car !! Always wanted one of those. Good luck !!
  19. I AM PUTTING A HOLD ON THIS SALE BECAUSE OF MAJOR FAMILY PROBLEMS. SORRY FOR ANY PROBLEMS THIS HAS CAUSED. I have a well cared for essentially stock unmolested example of a 2003 Moto Guzzi Rosa Corsa for sale. It has 9100 dry miles. It is in superb condition. Well maintained. I am the second owner. It has been garaged its whole life. Under my ownership only NON-ETHANOL fuel was used. All gauges and instruments work fine. This bike runs smoothly and shifts nicely. I just had the whole bike go thru a $1400 tune-up about 300 miles ago ( I have receipts ) including: 1. An oil and filter change. 2. Valve adjustment and throttle body synch. 3. New clutch and springs. New shifter spring ( you know, the one that always breaks at the worst time ). 4. All trans, rear end, clutch and brake fluid changed. 5. Rear bearings in rear end lubed well. Drive shaft U joints lubed. 6. New rear seal in trans cover was replaced. A seal was slightly misting. ( I'm kinda OCD about my bikes ). These items were done by me: 5. New front fork seals and fork oil. 6. New Q3s within 200 miles 7. New steering bearings. They were lubed with very little grease at the factory and were knackered. 8. New stock seat. 9. New speedo cable. I have added some tasteful upgrades: 1. MPH bar risers and lines. 2. Ferrachi Carbon fiber mufflers ( I have the stock mufflers ) I also have the: 1. The owners manual. 2. Two keys. 3. A genuine Guzzi bike cover 4. A genuine Guzzi shop manual 5. A copy of Guzziology. I am selling due to no time to ride. Too many other things going on in my life. I am asking $7199 but this price is somewhat negotiable. The bike is located in Albany, NY. I am going to post pics later but I wanted to put this out now to gauge interest. If you have any questions or concerns my email address is mishleon@msn.com. My phone number is 518 438 3015. Thanks for your time and interest. Leon. Here are some pics:
  20. I used these. http://www.mgcycle.com/product_info.php?products_id=2975. They are not painted metal so they should not corrode or flake and they it fit perfectly. Plus they are relatively cheap.
  21. I done a lot of searching but cannot find the part numbers for either CRG or Pazzo levers to fit my 2003 Lemans. Can anybody help me ? Thanks, Leon.
  22. That exhaust alone is like $1000 and VERY hard to find !! Rarer than hen's teeth.
