That is one beautiful bike. Just curious. about your wheels and front forks. What kind of wheels are those? Are these Marchesini wheels? Also what bike was a donor for your front forks?
  2. It's still is a Hyuosung but a 250cc from what I remember
  3. Thank you guys for your answers and clearing up my questions. If I will change Ti pipes then I will only change them for carbon fiber from M4. Beautiful quality and they sound awesome
  4. These are used to be made by Hyuosung. UM went out of business in the US. 650 cc engine is very similar to Suzuki SV 650 and if I remember correctly is and old version of that engine
  5. Guzzipk, you should be able to use your stock peg mounts from what I understand. In a difference to stock pipes that have mounting bracket attach rigidly to them, Ti pipes are mounted with soft loops. Obviously loop can be slid up or down. In any case I also don't see any issues with luggage
  6. Its definetly mounts differently. It also has a single bolt but it goes thru the bracket horizontally and allows the tank to swing up. Which is much better, especially for maintenance
  7. Docc, that is the idea. Ghezzi-Brian has a very nice "Dr. John’s Guzzi 8V Tribute" that could be based on any of the following Daytona/Centauro/Sport 1100. But as most of us know V11 and especially a later ones, 2003 and later, have a much better 6 speed gearbox and all together a better drivetrain. So, my idea is to get a cheap, possibly crashed V11, and use it as a basis for conversion. I would use Mike Rich pistons and Crankshaft and do maybe as much as possible to completely rebuild the engine and get more power out of it. Obviously if somehow I would find 4V lump, I would buy that and swap it with V11 powerplant. I think going this direction way makes more sense. Paul Minnaert (www.fastguzzi.nl) has turned his Daytona to a very similar bike. But Paul had to re-engineer on how to mount V11 gearbox to Daytona. I think going with V11 makes the situation a bit easier because of better availability and price wise a cheaper alternative. I love the way Ghezzi-Brian bodywork looks. Because going to "Dr. John’s Guzzi 8V Tribute" requires replacement of rear seat sub-frame, as well as front instrument/front fairing sub-frame, I wanted to make sure from know-how people if Sport 1100/Daytona tank fits on V11. As for the front end, I would replace forks with Aprilia/Ducati Ohlins or some nice Suzuki ones with radial brakes. As for wheels I am doing some research to see who can still make rims for the rear. Obviously if the company would make the rear wheel, then for sure they would make the front wheel for any of the modern Aprilia/Ducati/Suzuki, etc bikes I am not ready cause I haven't found one cheap Guzzi yet but I have my eyes on one with approx. 27K miles. For now I will be happy with my Coppa.
  8. Twin and Grossohc, thanks for heads up on the length. I was wondering about it. For some reason previous owner removed the footpegs and I was wondering why brackets looked different from my previous Guzzu. So, if I would decide to go for M4 carbon pipes I would ether have to specify that I would use soft loop mounts that came with Titanium pipe kit or get longer brackets for OEM pipes.
  9. I am wondering about my rear footpeg brackets that I have on my 04 Coppa with Titanium pipes. My Ballabio had different brackets then my new to me Coppa. But my Ballabio had original pipes that I have later replaced with M4 Carbon Fiber. If anyone has Guzzi Titanium Kit installed, I would appreciate if you can post some pics.
  10. Thank you for your replies but additional replies are welcomed. By the way from what I understand a new 1200CC 4V will not fit into Spine frame. In addition its seems that transmission is completely different. I am sure someone has knowledge about all my questions. By the way I know I would have to change the seat area and I don't care about it cause if I go ahead with the project, I will be changing rear seat sub-frame and from instrument cluster sub-frame as well. Hoping someone can chime in with some better answers. Pete, DOCC, anyone? Thanks in advance
  11. I don't know if it will sound crazy but I am wondering if Sport 1100 / Daytona / Daytona RS Gas tank will fit V11. Any comments from people in the know will be welcomed. Also, does anyone know if Sport 1100 / Daytona / Daytona RS Gas tank had external or internal Fuel Pump? From what I understand V11 was a successor to Sport 1100 / Daytona / Daytona RS and supposedly Main Spine frames are either same or very similar. Another question I have is in regards to the engine differences between 2-Valve Sport 1100/V11 and 4-Valve Daytona/Daytona RS. Do these engines only differ by top ends, such as cylinder heads with top ends? Do they have identical bottom parts? In other words, if the bottoms are same, would it be feasible to get different camshaft, cylinders and valvetrain to convert 2V into 4V. I know these questions might sound a little weird but I have some project in mind and need to see if its doable at all. Basically 2003+ V11 have much more superior gearbox and rear drive then Sport 1100/Daytona/Daytona RS. So, if the gas tank fits it would be a better decision to convert V11 into Sport 1100 and keeping all factory improvements of V11 including a 6 speed gearbox and other improvements Thanks in advance for answers from everyone with such a knowledge

  13. Anyone that want to add yourself to the list please copy a complete list. This way we will not loose anyone we already have on this list. So, where is everyone else from USA and abroad? I know there is another Coppa in New York/New Jersey since I seen it on the ride afew times and even know who the guy is but I don't think he is on this forum. USA 1. 14. So, looking at this registry I decided to straighten it up a bit and see if people would want to keep it clean but informative. Since Coppa Italia is extremely rare I thought it would be nice to know how many bikes are around. From what I researched, Moto Guzzi made 300 of these bikes and only 47 made it to the USA. By the way I have a shield attached to my right side Titanium pipe that states 1/47 in the USA. So, I added everyone who left their mark here but I am separating USA and other regions. If anyone wants to edit their info or add your bike to the list please copy the whole list and add yourself on the bottom of the corresponding list. I also think adding partial VIN numbers would be a good idea. Since 10th digit specifies a year 2004 and ALL US bikes where labeled as 2004 I will specify starting from the 10th digit. Let's see if MG actually was consistent in issuing VIN numbers. That way we can get a better idea of the actual quantity of bikes made. So, here we go. If you are on this list and you are no longer in position of this beautiful machine then just past, copy and modify your info USA 1. SRL, Florida 2. sttrecker, Phoenix, AZ 3. 16. Ken, Thank you for a write up. I guess I will stick with true and tried PC III. Got one more questions for people in know. Dynojet lists PC III for only 2000-2001 bike. Mine is 2004 with titanium pipes and ECU for it. Will it work on my bike?
  17. Nice picture. By the way those M4 sound delicious!. I don't think I ever seen so many Guzzis in one spot. I am also on the hunt either Sport 1100 or V10 Centauro. I would convert Centauro to Daytona RS
  18. Fotoguzzi, I know that the rest of my collection is faster but I have soft spot for Guzzi. As you can see from my signature I had v11 Ballabio that I customized by adding LeMans fairing, powder coating rims and valve covers. That bike was nice but not special enough. That is why I sold it and used the money to get Bimota. I was in heaven. But I still felt that if I get another Guzzi I wanted somewhat special. Coppa Italia is definitely something special. Even though the bike is now 11 years old its still relatively new with barely 5k miles on it. So, even though I have faster bikes my logic is same as GuzziMoto. That is throw a bit of money for personalization and performance upgrades. From the info that I gathered Mike Rich setup is the way to go, plus the reliability improves. I am set on getting some extra performance out of V11 motor. I might even look into getting some lightened wheels. But that is down the line I appreciate all feed backs. In any case would be interested to hear from anyone with PC V
  19. I am thinking of getting Mike Rich camshaft, pistons and valve springs. Would Guzzidiag work with this setup? As for PC V I was wondering if anyone actually bought one? I don't understand what is the big deal to actually announce the model of PC V if its actually works. Tod mentioned somewhere that he worked with dynojet but when I called dynojet they clearly told me that PC V is not set to work with V11
  20. As the topics States, I am curious if PC V (powercommander V) has been adopted to work with our bikes. Guzzitech specifies that PC V has been adopted but I called dynojet and they have no clue. Does anyone actually have PC V Installed? What is the model of PC V?

    New Battery

Direct replacement is either Yuasa YTX15L (only AVAILABLE from OEMS) or Yausa YTX15L-BS or a bit cheaper alternative a BikeMaster Trugel MG15L-BS. Size in mm is 175 x 87 x 130. By the way I sell any of the above at 15% off MSRP. I just ordered BikeMaster for myself today. Here is a link to BikeMaster cross reference of common size batteries http://www.bikemaster.com/trugel.html Note that even though Yuasa YTZ14S could easily fit based on size the terminals are not reversed. Later L in Yuasa and BikeMaster specifies that polarities are reversed
  22. Guzzimoto, I think you are right. My friend opened the cylinder cover and the rocker somehow came off from the exhaust valve guide. Maybe the valve adjustment was too tight but we are not sure. My friend is an awesome mechanic period. So, he checked everything put everything back as it was supposed to be re-adjusted valves and the bike runs pretty strong. I didn't have time to re-check it since I was leaving vacation but the bike runs nice and clean. When I come back I will clean up oil spill and will run the bike to chek it out. Just as a precaution I ordered an exhaust valve guide. There is a slight possibility that it might gotten some minor damage even though it doesn't present itself as such.
  23. Jaap, thanks for heads up. Unfortunately I am on the other side of the pond and these pegs would become prohibitively expensive. That is why I was looking for more info from anyone who installed aftermarket pegs. I will try Aprilia Falco pegs cause I got the bike. Will see what happens
  24. So far results are left cylinder is dead. It's not working. Quick check revealed no fuel going into left cylinder. Tomorrow will be checking compression and looking if there is any damage. I am so pissed! Hopefully my friend will have time tomorrow to put it up on the lift. I am hoping for something minor. Once he opens it up I will set valves to world specs In meantime if anyone might have an idea of why no fuel is getting to the left cylinder, please chime in Thanks P.s. Will be checking obvious culprit of oil leaks as well
  25. MIT friend just called and upon initial inspection he sees a lot of oil from right side cylinder head and by oil stick/ oil inlet
