very very keen on these .... But I understand that the over-yoke clip ons would have to be swapped for a under-yoke clip ons, presenting me with a challenge since my arms are, well, not long. Anyway of retaining the originbal clip ons? or using other clip-ons for better ergo? Cheers Cat

COOL! COOL! COOL! haha .. judging from your stable .. the Guzzi will lure you over the beemer!!!!!!!! You have an unfortunate disease ... classicus-bikelovus, probably in terminal stage and incurable, common in males, late thirties to fifties. Final confirmation .... What do these pics do to you? .......... Look, with the Guzzi, worst case scenario ... you are wrong, and your body aches .... Badly. Kidding .... seriously, I would use the commute as a gauge; for me, further and longer, beemer rulez. Cheers Cat

........ or this???? Cheers Cat

Idling is low, less than 1000, in fact, even in ambient temperature of about 27 degrees celcius, I need to hold the throttle manually until the bike warms, otherwise the engine will die. However, with a warmed-up bike it's not a problem. Will try out a higher idling. Cheers Cat

I own a R1150R and a V11. Markedly similarly yet different machines. Similar in specs, but riding characteristics wholly different. For me, the Beemer is comfortable, reliable and clinical to the point of boring; yet I appreciate those qualities. The Guzzi is passionate, quite a wild thing and presents motorcycling ata raw and basic level that stirs my heart. It's really a question of your head (and arse) versus your heart. Best suggestion, test ride a V11 first. Cheers Cat

Hiya all ... My 02' Scura has a tendency to cut its engine mid-ride. After about 5 times over the last 100 km or so; the sequence is usually like this ... 1. High speed (usually after 45 mph) 2. Fast deceleration with brakes (not engine braking) 3. Pull in the clutch 4. Engine quits 5. Panic 6. Continue clutch in position, contiinue in whatever gear (bike is rolling), push starter and bike fires 7. Continue as though nothing happens It does not happen all the time, sometimes no problem at all. Pretty hap-hazard fashion ... First time it happened I was lane splitting and probably gave the 2-stroke bike behind me a heart attack cos' I freaked out and not release the brakes when the bike died. Now i know better. What gives? Similar experience? Cheers Cat

So how do you know these are the right springs in the first place? Is there a Hyperpro guide based on weight or are there some other criteria? Glad you got your front end sorted. Cheers Cat

That was what set me thinking; if the epoxy used in the CF can withstand the heat, why not the lacquer? Problem is that the original finish seems to be thinning and scuffed, and as the bike is a keeper, I want to protect the pipes in any way I can. Anyone knows of any ducati bloke who did it on their termis? Cheers Cat

Hiya, Thinking of applying a nice clear lacquer finish to my stick carbon fibre exhausts of my Scura to offer it some protection. My friend who is helping me with the job says that normal (i.e. non high-temp) lacquer can withstand up to 120 degrees centigrade. If it cannot withstand the heat, then the lacquer coating may either de-laminate or crack. Question: Anyone knows what is the temp of the carbon fibre? Anyone has a thermometer? Or tried to lacquer it? Cheers Cat
