  1. That chap sounds like a bit of a ruffian to me. Anyone know if you can get timing gears to fit the V11? Welcome to V11land, Mr Roper . KB, Cymru
  2. You aren't gonna think much of me for this...but... ...a mini disc grinder to grind thru the bearing cage to split it. Sounds worse than it is - a bit at a time, don't have to cut clean thru it, just enough to get it to shift.VERY SLOW & CAREFUL. Done it a couple times - no problems ... KB, Cymru
  3. ...but no doubt with varying levels of confidence...
  4. Captain Nemo, Have you had any problems with the bike? KB, Cymru
  5. Docc, 2,700 miles out of Diablos on Scura, Mostly fairly hard on dry roads. These were normal Diablos - you can get Diablo Corsas which are stickier, wear quicker (I'm told). I got 3,300 out of 020's & much prefer the Diablos. KB, Cymru
  6. Ahh! I thought it was a Toad. I wish I'd said so now. Should I win I would prefer no publicity, thank you. KB, Cymru
  7. Jaap, what you watch in private is none of my business...I know... but...have you considered aversion therapy? KB,Cymru
  8. Jaap, It's time to let these things go man... KB, Cymru
  9. Eh????
  10. On Any Sunday, Hells Angels on Wheels, The Great Escape, Mad Max, Stone, Any of the on bike TT films, that George Formby TT film think it was No Limits, that ol brit film about Ton Up Boys risen from the dead ... On Any Sunday &...On AnySunday.
  11. BMW! BMW! BMW! Oh the joy of free speech! KB, Cymru
  12. The Ohlins are wonderful things & if you can afford the extra, well worth having. Only thing is cos they have such a range of adjustment they can take a bit of setting up right. KB,Cymru
  13. Try putting it back as std - see if it works ok? KB, Cymru
  14. I love my Guzzi, it'll be alright. I love my Guzzi it'll be alright. I love my Guzzi it'll be alright
  15. Same here. My 02 weeps from somewhere around lower part of plate that holds selector mechanism, pos shift seal or some other fixing on the plate. Reseal didn't fix. Not enough to worry about. KB, Cymru
  16. ...another problem with the single plate - turns once considerate people bitter & vindictive... david s. UJ OK? lots of lash hammers them & everything else. KB, Cymru
  17. The crank/flywheel assy spinning f/r holds the bike into a right but will tend to lift it out of a left - so right feels steadier. You get used to it. You're thinking too much, look a bit further down the road, bigger picture. KB, Cymru
  18. The crank, flywheel/clutch all spinning along f/r axis pull it down or push it up depending on right or left corner & revs throttle on/off...it's noticeable just blipping the throttle stationary in neutral. Try it airborne over a hump back bridge at speed... You don't have roundabouts over in the States do you? KB, Cymru
  19. I've often wondered if the Guzzi lump is strong enough to be used as a stressed member... KB, Cymru
  20. Paul, You do not run an oil cooler? Cos w/deep sump doesn't need one? Is that Raceco part? Bike looks great. KB, Cymru
  21. We should all keep constantly in mind the words of Bento: "...just remember that 80%of the time tirg gear is NOT your friend...".... In my car I can miss tirg out altogether... KB, Cymru
  22. Is this a different USA Raceco cos as far as I know Raceco here is still alive on http://www.raceco.com ? KB, Cymru
  23. Looks like the bushings are a cheapskate solution but I think harshness is just cos of so much unsprung wt there - can't see bush making it much worse. Is there any reason that there needs to be some damping on these pivots or would a freemoving bearing always be better? KB, Cymru
  24. ...but...that old 950 ran great on a set of straight thru pr type (crossbow) pipes, w/ simple balance pipe under the gearbox for years even as it threw out the inside perforated tubes & packing bit by bit - at my level it's not an exact science...it was easier for simpletons like me when we had carbs...but so long as you don't let it run too weak full speed ahead captain...pioneer spirit...it's what America was built on... really tho...stick to the white! KB, Cymru ...& let's not kid ourselves...it's noise we want...noise IS power eh chaps! but remember...they'll always hear you coming ....the tinnatus'll tell you when to quiet it down a bit!
  25. I don't know much about this but I did run my 950 tonti w/o any balance pipe for a while & it killed the top end. I think it's about scavenging. they were wide diameter headers too which probably didn't help... Captain, I still think you were good on the white ....blue??? KB, Cymru
