  1. Been waiting about three weeks for a new battery for my V11 Sport.

Does anybody know of a reliable place in the UK that'll ship one to me here in the Isle of Man? Not having any luck with suggestions received so far.

    Many thanks.

    BM.

P.S. Went to the press launch for TT 2008 tonight. Status Quo are playing! Try to contain your enthusiasm...

  2. just idle curiosity here but...

say a large group of individuals arrived at your home during the TT fortnight...how many individuals would said home be capable of supporting? Keep in mind, said individuals brought their own beer.

    purely a hypothetical event.

You'd have to ask the mother-in-law. That's where we're stuck (temporarily at least)...

    :-(

  3. I hadn't visited this forum since about ten months ago when I first made enquiries about a V11 I'd seen and was thinking of buying. Anyway, that email we all received just happened to land a few days after I'd finally got around to buying one and actually served to remind me this forum existed. As of last week I'm now the proud ownder of a 2001 V11 Sport. My first Guzzi.

If the rain, hail and snow here in the Isle of Man ever gives up, I'll actually ride it!

  4. Just received an email from one of this forum's managers placing me on 'probation' regarding abuse of the forum.

I've no idea what it is I'm supposed to have done but on logging in did notice it said 'Last login Mar 11 2007, 07:36 AM' so there's a chance it's a mistake.

If not, would somebody point me towards whatever thread contained something offensive that I'm supposed to have posted?

    Thank you.

  5. Thanks for that.

Can I ask also: How are the cams driven in a Guzzi? Also, are the valve clearences 'bucket and shim' like some Japanese bikes, hydraulic lifters maybe (requiring no attention) like my Harleys, or good old Brit bike style that you can adjust yourself?

    Thanks again. Much appreciated.

  6. Just saw a V11 for sale locally. I'm really keen but have never owned a Guzzi before.

Could I ask members what they're like to live with? My present bikes are a new and an old Harley. The old one keeps me busy so I'm used to tinkering. That said, they're straight-forward enough to work on.

So, as a day to day bike, how do you think I'd find a V11?

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Molly.
