Hey Jaap could have yanked the Hooters thread early on. Instead, he put in some restraints (good ones in my opinion) and continues to allow us some entertainment and (occasionally) excitement on this thread. Thanks for that Jaap and thanks for the entire site. ....and I'm not even a Guzzi owner anymore (well I do have a jersey and cap).

I was getting bored this winter so I took a fishing trip. What rotten luck!! I got fined for fishing out of season and taking over the limit.

Before my Rosso goes to it's new home I want to replace a rubber boot on one mirror. Looks like Moto Guzzi only sells the entire unit. Anyone know who makes these for MG and Buell so that I might contact them directly?

Well it looks like my Rosso is going to a new home in Canada in a few weeks. At 68 the sport riding position is just not real comfortable anymore. I'm gonna miss her though - what a great ride! I will most likely sell my BMW RT this spring and look for a used Norge so you're not getting rid of me that easily. (Besides, I have to stay tuned to the "Hooters" thread). In the meantime I'll be sidehacking around the Northeastern US. Go ahead and laugh but I don't have to worry about remembering to put my feet down at a stop light anymore! However I do have to remember to keep the rig in the center of the road. Wouldn't want a traffic sign or telephone pole to get between me and my wife or Lab passenger. I thought that the petcock is electronic - there doesn't seem to be a way to open it manually. Can you just disconnect the hose to the throttle body and then turn the ignition on?

Bob - it's going into Canada and an empty tank is required.
