  1. I rode the Tenni to Roland at Spare Parts, It needs some attention by a Guzzi specialist. Josh was with me and we wasted a day in Philly looking at messed up "little kids" racing suits at Revzilla. Tried 4 jackets on and none of them fit. I promised to come back once I'm 100lbs lighter or 20 years younger. However we found out that one of the sales guys ride a GUUUUZZI!!!
  2. Home Depot aluminum foil tape as base and on top of it aluminum foil insulation tape with rubber padding.
  3. Ok, I'll find some tape and "stuff" to insulate the tunnel.
  4. What insulation??? Maybe it got sucked into that filthy air filter? So... Should I try to get original or something else? Any issues if I leave it "as is"?
  5. toofat how does the bike sound without the lid? is it too loud? Not in my opinion. Then again my sport car has 3" side exhaust without cats and Walker chambered mufflers, so what do I know about anything being loud....
  6. Yes, it looks like it's been few years in a Pennsylvania coal mine. I'll try to wash it, but i have a new one already on the shelf. (Leftover from my Quota, I use paper filters on it) next fuel filter, plugs, rotten intake rubber boots etc...
  7. This is what I found under the tank, filthy filter and that's it. Is this some sort of "Fast by Ferracci" modification? Bike runs as good as I would ever want V11 to run, so I guess it works?
  8. Ordered a new starter, old one was hanging and burning the fuse. Ordered also the throttle body rubber hoses, old ones were cracked.
  9. I would say yes. The Harley paint is not wrinkle paint, (they did have that one too). Its called "Texture", same HD uses on new models.
  10. The stripper does not clean it 100%, I would say about 95 is closer. You could try to strip it more than the 3 times I did... It might come clean, Mine had still some residue spots, no solid paint, just some annoying black spots, I was going to paint it black, so the 95% was fine. Harley paint was 24.99, so tax definately included.
  11. Since I did not pull the motor, I kept it rather simple. Home depot premium stripper, brushed on and rinsed with water. Had to do it 3 times to get the "goo" off. I used a small (toothbrush size) steel brush to clean surfaces as well as scraped the most stubborn chucks with a small screwdriver. Spray painted with Harley engine paint.
  12. There it is, ultra rare blue 2002 V11 Tenni. You can tell it's a 2002 since the paint is bubbling... This was the last time it bubbled.
  13. I will be taking the mistrals and exhaust off this weekend, dissolving the butt ugly chickenpox paint from the motor block and reprinting it with Harley engine paint. If it dries fast enough, I'll put the shiny coffee can on. I wish there was a dyno closeby, so I could do before and after charts. Bike gas been tuned at Fast by Ferracci and it runs really strong. Dyno would be nice to solve the discussion about loss of power or not. I'll let you guys know...
  14. The 4 HP I'm going to loose or gain is not overly important in my life, more specifically on a 500+ lbs bike. Just curious if any one of you knew anything about this exhaust, looks like Don G got the raisin pie. I'll slap the silly coffee can on and see what happens. Don't worry, I'll let you guys know if it was a disaster or not. Anyway...... you'll hear me coming.
  15. You never know HOW obnoxious, unless you try. Since I have it, I can might as well slap it on and see what happens...
  16. I have Amish neighbors...as long as I don't crank it up on Sunday morning, they'll love me.
  17. Got this 2 to 1 exhaust with the Tenni. Looks like it's gonna bark like a mad dog... Any idea who made it or if it's any good? I have two carbon Mistrals on it and they sound quite nice. Maybe this little bomb will scare the hell of all pirate geared Harley guys?
  18. No idea what these are, but as comfort goes... The lowered pegs must be better...
  19. Realized that it had no license plates, so I drove it to public notary, cop on highway looked at me but did not pull over...got plates, rode it to B&B Yamaha and got it inspected. Blasted 100 mph on RT 222 to home. Cob webs gone. Beautiful day, +3C here in PA. No other 2 wheelers on the road. Tomorrow is my birthday, supposed to be even warmer, so I think I'll treat myself with a few hour highway ride! I think I really like this little green gremlin.
  20. I've always liked synthpop, so I've listened Depeche Mode from 1979. https://youtu.be/EkX3-iSTBOo Lately I've been listening 21 Pilots:
  21. If its blues, then R L Burnside or Mississippi Fred McDowell. or Mississippi Fred McDowell...
  22. Damn.... I'll have to call Roland at Spare Parts, if he has any suggestions. Kind of difficult to replace a clutch with parts that are unobtainable. I would like to get this done before end of May, since I'm taking off for few thousand mile trip to Tennessee/SC area with my brother. He will be piloting the Tenni and I'll take Stelvio NTX. This way he will get a Guzzi after the trip and stops talking about KTM's..
  23. Pushed the Tenni start button and it worked. Went back into the house with a beer bottle in my hand.
