I hope you never become accustomed to living in such beauty.

I thought it hadn't started in paris for a while either
It hasn't.

One of eight (rumored) dealerships in the US is in Paducah,Ky. These Indians look like aircraft carriers after riding a sport bike. It still looks good.
They also have a full line of Piaggo bikes. These bikes look great too.

In what way does free enterprise allow one person to profit from another's plight? Subjective evaluations of condition don't enter into it; free enterprise simply allocates resources in the most efficient manner. If you want to improve the plighted, educating the wealthy to want to ease the suffering of their fellow man is more productive than whining that they prefer Fijian water to dealing with bettering the lot of the lazy.
Have they no workhouses? No debtor's prisons?
No, wait: those are more common in state run economies, only they call them factories & gulags...
For the love of money is..........

Has anyone had experience with Palo Alto Speedometer Service for the speedo problems on these bikes?
-
I think they did it just to piss us off!
Actually I'm a little fuzzy on the exact history, but didn't Aprilia buy Guzzi about the time that the MGS01 was revealed? I can only guess that Aprilia decided they couldn't make enough money off another Vtwin sportbike that would cost more and go slower than their RSV. Horsepower rules in the sportbike market. Too bad because I think it's the coolest bike Guzzi ever made.
I still look at it and think it is still the most beautiful bike I have EVER seen in my lifetime.

Hey G and Tom -
Now i'm thinking about just getting a whole new digital motorcycle unit, not a bicycle unit. A friend referred me to Electrosport for their speedo/odo units (with a number of other features as well...). I looked at their website and talked to one of their sales guys. Do you have any experience with that equipment? Maybe i'll throw out a general post, asking if anyone has gone that route. Electrosport said the old gauges would have to come off, and the new unit mounted - single-stalk mounting, i think.
Any thoughts?
So, G, what do you use the unit for on your night stand? Is that a Kentucky thing?
It's to remind me I waited 8 weeks for this backordered *********!!! to find out I couldn't mount it properly and if I did i would have to get within 12 in. of the face to see how fast I was traveling right before I crashed.
For the digital dash: if you could properly mount it and not destroy the wiring, GO FOR IT!

Too-shay!!!!!!!

I will look in the house after work and let you know the make and model #. I put Alpina wheels on and the air gap on the pick-up and sensor (I think) is 5 mm. I could not find a good way to mount it so it is on the night stand.

Shhhh! Don't give sales secrets away.

Jami,
Keep in mind: you can't run a wireless system (or so I was told) because of RFI from the ignition system and you want one that will read up to 100 mph. It is no good to have one that goes up to only 45mph. One more thing, the face on these are normally 1". You will have to practice reading at a postage stamp while you are riding.
If you want I can send you this one to look at before you buy.

According to the video he doesn't look like the Ozzy Osborne or Alice Cooper type. I suppose everyone has a wild side?

I can't add much for the no-start condition...
The front brake lever stoplamp switch is probably bad. Price a new one and see how much it is...
-
Jami,
You will have to communicate with someone who has a bike speedo on their Guzzi. I bought one from Performance (bicycle) Bike. I think it was a CATEYE brand. I finally got it and it will not work because of mounting and clearance issues.

When is Dakar not Dakar when it's in Argentina. This would be like moving the IOM TT to Majorca this is possibly the stupidest motorsport move ever just call it the Argintine Raid or some other suitable title, it's not Dakar
That's life...what else can they do with all the "name"? The event hosts need to name a "Dakar rallye winner" not an "Argentina anything winner...

It's good to have you back online. What all was replaced on the exhaust system? I do have to tell you you started out on the best bike (if it is your first) available.
p.s. this will be your first MG.........

If you want to do this ONE time do this: go to any automotive garage or car dealer and purchase a dye to install in ONE of the places you are checking for leaks. If you suspect the gearbox install 1/4 of the bottle in the trans. Ride the bike a few miles until you are satisfied it has leaked enough oil. You will need to use a special light and glasses (you have sucked up to the owner of or he will do for you) to look for the leak.
I have this equipment and I can assure you "IT WORKS". Do not wast your time and $$$$$ guessing what it is, know before you do any more work.

Incredible and beautiful video. It reminds me I need to learn another language. The three I know; English,Redneck and Hillbilly limit me to a small circle.
