  1. Not trying to jack the thread but just wondering if anyone is running the velocity stack setup shown on that site?
  2. Thanks all. I also found the FAQ section....duh. I've got to get over to the dirt bike shop and check out some bends first hand. I'm thinking a set of Pro Tapers rather than clip-ons, though I do have a set of 3" rise clip-ons that would need new fork adapters machined to fit the larger V11 forks, IF I can get back in the shop for more than 10 minutes. Also bookmarked a site offering +2" hydraulic lines but can't remember who just now. Ta!
  3. Luvly, jrt. That looks like it. How much pull back on those bars please? (Unfortunately I can't bring your pics up any larger. Is that me or your pics?)
  4. Trying to sort out conflicting information in preperation for adding higher handlebars to my '03 Nekkid. S'truth or not; is there enough slack in brake/clutch lines, wires, etc. to mount risers and fat bars or must I collect aftermarket items? Read an article about adding handlebars to a Rossa and the gent claimed no.
  5. Noooo, c'mon....yer kidding. I clearly stated nothing was sacred. But I DO respect those who have the strength of their convictions and stand by them. Personally I live by the old hot rod adage "Anyone can restore something, it takes a REAL man to cut it up." Oh, and Bugs Bunny. C'mon now, let's all be friends and get along famously. There's Guzzi riding and modding to be done and, by God, we're just the blokes to do it, eh!?
  6. Why, thank you RH! Always good to fall in with bad company I say. Mind if I have a cigar? In life I've found the only thing that trumps fact, knowledge, references and well documented hands-on knowledge is a whackin' great lie told with conviction. In the long run, what's really the difference? Giddy up!
  7. "Controversy"? "Climate of contention"? WOW, did I ever join up at the right time!! I'm not a trouble maker but irreverence is a religion with me so established mores, common knowledge and accepted practices are constantly in my sights. NOTHING is sacred. The game's afoot! Noooo, JK, JK, I won't make a peep. And thanks for getting me straight on the alignment issue.
  8. Excellent, thank you! I was also concerned that the left stub axle is in farther than the right side. (Never having set these up gets the mind reeling) Any cause for concern there?
  9. The large nut that holds the swing arm pivot just behind the foot pegs. Mine are only finger tight. Anyone have the correct torque value or just "snug up tight" good enough?

    Finally!

Sorry no pic's yet but I finally sold the 1150R and thus the '03 V11 Naked is mine! Comfortable (except the bars) smooth, only 4500 miles, Mistral carbon cans, Power Commander, carbon cafe screen, bubbled case paint, oil stains, the works. I love it! A thousand questions to ask but time for that. Except, where can I get a service manual? Can't find any source at all. Anyway, happy to be here and hope I can contribute.
  11. As we speak I'm engaged in that time honored dance of "offer-counter offer" for my R1150R. If it goes, and I've every confidence it will, then a '03 Sport Naked is MINE before the week's out!

    Hello!

Oh, yes indeed, well and truly! Problem is I can't do anything until the Beemer goes so I'm just gonna' hang around and get my jollies vicariously, sorta' Peepin' Tom-ish as it were. Don't mind me I'll just be over here in case anyone can't live without a '04 Beemer with only 4600 miles on it.

    Hello!

They say the first step is to admit you have a problem. Ok, here goes. I MUST HAVE A V11!! Even though I've over 50 years riding I'd never been on a Guzzi until a few weeks back. "V11 FOR SALE." Hmmm. Well, I've owned many Duc's and I am half Italian and I like shaft drive (currently '04 BMW r1150r) so... OH SWEET MOTHER OF PEARL where have you been all my life!? The handling, the sound, the presence....what am I tellin' you? You've got 'em already! Though the Naked damn near permanently bent this old body I reckon higher bars, lower pegs and I'm in 100%...GIDDYUP! So, bad time of year here and lousy economy but the BM's on the block. Even my biggest torch I won't bend those jugs up any higher. It IS futile to resist, isn't it.
