I think your going to be close to $2k US for the three parts from the dealer. About 1,000 for the tank, 800 for the tail piece and 2 for the front fender..
  2. Me too.. WalMart SuperTech ST3614. B/L; Cheap, available and works.. and agree with REMOVE THE STICKER part too
  3. The SMO-22 was listed on one of the forums as a suitable filter...
  4. GTO = Grand Touring "Oldsmobile"?? How about GTO = Grand Tourismo Omologato with the Pontiac GTO being the "hot rod" you were probably referring to. Having been a previous '66 "goat" owner I couldn't let that one slip Enzo... Please ride safe on the 51 and I hope you can get some track time as push the preverbial envelope...
  5. Antonio, I think you have four logical choices ( I won't mention the 5th..). You can select any or all of the the four in any order you choose... 1. Complain to eBay. 2. Complain to the seller. 3. Leave negative feed back 4. Be patient, the item may be in the mail. good luck...
  6. Tons of information here on your questions, just do a board search on oil change, sump cover, etc..
  7. Here is the thread that ran last year re. Buell Lighting pegs. http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?...topic=3391&st=0 Here is a thread that has/had them for sale if your not a do-it-yourselfer. Also some other welldone refinements in design or pegs and foot gear http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?...338entry37338 might be other stuff, just try the search engine..
  8. Still using mine and have no real issues. Only mild complaint is there is a little more foot movement to do the rear break and shift levers. I find myself lifting my foot to the original bracket height when enjoying spirited driving. I did adjust them a little but there is only so much adjustment in v11 foot gear. As far as the long hauls, defiantly more relaxed for this 50 y/o carcass. I won’t be going back... I know I would be happier with Centauro foot gear, both pegs and linkages but the cost to go that route is more than I care spend and they are not as elegant as the v-11's. B/L; It’s a good compromise. If I ever want to go back, it is a 10 minute affair with no change to OEM stuff. Of course I am a little partial to the idea to start with
  9. I went with a Top box, not quite a back rest but it does provide some sense of security to a passenger. Not sure I would lean too hard on it but it can handle several pounds or pressure. It is mounted to the OEM rack. Ideal solution would be to have Corbin do one of those removable rest seats or pop-up rest but not sure they will mess with another v11 upgrade due to low demand.
  10. The Buell lens are a two piece affair, ther is a inner amber and an outer smoked piece. You'll want to replace them in pairs and probably do all four while your at it.. It looks much nicer. If you just buy the outer smoked grey lenes, you'll need to buy yellow bulbs. either way it works and the lens com LF/RR and RF/LR. Several threads here on the board addressing the mod with part numbers etc..
  11. BMK, Make sure you keep us all posted with the out come... Good luck
  12. I can't answer the warrantee issue but when it comes to gas the answer is good gas. I would recommend staying with premium especially if your ride is predisposed to predetonation (pinging).

The Mistral can looks 100 x better! I'm sorry but that OEM barrel just doesn't work for me all .
  14. Yes, That's the Laminar Lip. I bought it before the German touring windshild was avaialble here in the US. Forgot what I paid, I think $65ish delivered, simple instalation already pre-drilled. I found the hardware lacking in quality and match so I swapped out with appropriate SS hardware from West Marine with Acorns nuts and all. Wasn't crazy about the looks initially but have grown used to it and find it very functional. I am 5'11" and found a little more helmet buffeting than I cared for at 55-65mph. The lip opend up the pocket at those speeds and find it very comfortable at 75-85. They come in clear and smoke and naturally went witht he smoked. It's pretty good at keeping the gnats off at speed but below 50, it's visors down
  15. Well you have options now... Of course you can order the replacment form MG, pay $70+ something for it, and then wait until Luigi can find one in a parts bin to send your way.. My guess a several weeks.. But you could get lucky since they are high consumption items and have it a week or so, and get to keep your elbos in the picture
  16. Not sure what brand CF cans you have but most can be repacked to be made a little softer again. OEM cans seem to be readily avaialble too and you might even find some one to even-steven trade for your CFs
  17. I think that part was assembled before they pressed the mirror in.. anyway, they are pretty much non-repairable but easily replacable. follow this thread and save some money with a Buell FB mirror upgrade.. http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=5471
  18. Any noise issues over world the spec??
  19. BMG, Here is a link to the thread re. pieces. You may want to start from around the second page to follow the thread. http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?...opic=4893&st=45 It's the same piece that was on ebay.. After the initail demand, I had made a couple dozen and was trying to get them on bikes thanks for the vote

This is priceless non-HD site. Takes a few moments to naviate and read but worth the visit IMO. http://www.goingfaster.com/angst/main.htm Warning: Some of the thoughts and t-shirts may be hazardous to ones health in a HD stealerships or a ralley (i.e. "the rant") http://www.goingfaster.com/betshirts.htm enjoy

    LeMans Mirrors

I would be very careful "yanking" on the mirror stalks. The base plate is pot metal and didn't like that too much on mine... I guess I have wide elbows but any time I wanted to see, it took a body adjustment of some sort. Now I don't even think about it with the wider mirrors
  22. more of the same for me.. mid 30s and lookng for a gas station a the 150 mile mark with a week to steady gas light. MPG has gotten better after the 3-4k mile mark. When she was new, I don't think I was getting 25-30 out of her.

    LeMans Mirrors

Here is a thread that ran a while ago re. converting to Buell firebolt mirrors. I still have them on on mine, they work, don't vibrate too bad, and look like OEMs except a little wider. and are cheap http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?...783entry40783
  24. I have been keeping an eye on a small weep on mine. So far it is just a drop a week or so but I believe it is a matter of time
