your break in is going to be a little bumpy, but after your first fluid change and the green light to head up over 5k rpm, she smooths right out. nonone is going to know what your bike is, so be ready for that(well no younger guys anyway ). welcome aboard.

i haven't tried pirellis yet. the metzies seem to be everything i could ask for in the "oh crap" zone. the shop i got them from steered me into them. maybe next batch...

i've done a bit of riding in the wet. we seem to enjoy it. i don't know what it is. on my ninja, if i see sprinkles i'm scrambling for home. but the gootz, i swear she likes it. oh, and get some metzlers

the only problem i've had is the tranny recall. then again at 15k miles my bike is barely broken in. what i can't understand, is how someone can pass on a guzzi for the price. once the bugs are worked out it's a tank. and my sport is very well mannered in most conditions. the one thing i would warn you about is the vibration. the first 5k miles on a new one are hell. the motor really smooths out at 5k+ rpm.

i've been listening to older tunes again lately and something is bugging me. a bike races off near the begining of atom heart mother, does anybody know what it is? it sounds like a twin. could it be our venerable italian eagle?

i don't know much about working on it, but i will comment on the used bikes. seems like any guzzi running at 50k miles has another 100k in it. and it's been totaly shook down. anything that's going to break has broken already. or that's how i look at it. after seeing odos at our little michigan rally, sheesh, i need to move south and get a job 500 miles away to keep up with some of those guys.

yeah, check this out. you'll have to select staintune and then guzzi... 'tunes it says there is a collector for the v-11. but doesn't show them on anything but a daytona. i don't get it.

and after searching the forums i can only conclude i thave teh cabin fever, sweet.

i think it was one of the euros that said if you didn't have a power commander you wouldn't get the time of day. or something to that effect. no offence mean't

but what about the 2-1-2 collector? yeah yeah, i'm hung up on it. but that's the kicker in the pack i ride in, a "full exhaust" is trick, slip-ons are not. have i heard it's like the dutch with power commanders? and on a non-coolfactor note, do you think a full staintune or quat-d weighs less?
