that's terrible!! and yeah, the cost of the sports going up does not suprise me. one of the guys at my shop is traveling whenever he gets the chance to buy a new sport model to sell.

why just this morning an old man made a left infront of me from the right. he pulled out into traffic and stopped before trying to get into his lane. he was LOOKING RIGHT THE WHOLE TIME. it was strange, this time it wasn't "FWORD FWORD FWORD FWORD"... it was "am i doing everything right? breaks? clutch?" that's the first thing i look at in any car or truck, is what the drivers eyes/head are/is doing. and as far as vehicles pulling out in front of us, a buddy of mine thinks it's due to the fact that they just can't tell where we are. they have one bright point to judge speed and distance. as opposed to cars/trucks with 2 points for perspective.

i'm using a hepco becker kit with the 30 liter bags.

so i'll take the sport out for a good romp, and then we take a break. here's the problem, sometimes it seems like it's trying to fire, but just won't catch. on both occasions it's been a few minutes after a hot run(due to weather, or highway time). now after this happens, i shut it off for a couple minutes, and it starts fine. what is my problem?

yeah, that didn't come of an '01, i know this. our later model sports have a really x lookin crossover. edit: i've been in a couple spots where our new tranny and f.i. have kinda tried to bite me in the ass as far as parts go. so when you're going to look for new parts, check what you have now. anything that's a radical change is probobly going to give you a headache. not to say it won't work, it'll just be a bit of a struggle.

oh, they wanna sell you the bike. it's "your" garage space that's going to be the killer. good luck!

yeah, the dry clutch. and you should make it a point to hear a duke clutch one day. it's like somebody threw keys, or change in the transmition.

that's extra sharp man. that black on black is hot. i think we may need a pIII thread. my mechanic was telling me the chips fool the bike into running different, and wasn't sure he was comfortable with that.

well they went on fine. there is a tiny issue with that plastic at the rear right, but it may sort itself out with a little heat. one woman at work thought it was an airplane as i came up the drive. my ninja buddy was already outside when i got to the parking lot. yes they are nascar loud. the chrome went on the grey suprisingly well.

okay, the bubs came in today. they have like a scaled metal grating along the inside of the cones, but the center of them is open. the listing said that they were infact good for guzzis up to '01, so i'm crossing my fingers.

aren't our sports taller than civics? sorry about your bike, but i'm at least your person didn't get hurt.

i actually saw something you typed on another forum. "One note though, on this bike, the right exhaust megaphone clearly hits the plastic cover on the swingarm. I might clear if the cover/hugger were removed, or if some washers, or just brute force bending, were used to increase clearance a bit." i'll have to go take a good look at my bike and try and figure out what your looking at there.

i can't find it now, but a couple days ago i came across a web page of a guy putting the bubs on his sport. the way he said it they all but jumped onto the bike. if nothing else, i should have them by friday, and on saturday night. here's a link to the ebay auction. as far as i know he's got 4 sets left. bubs on ebay

well, i managed to score a set of bub pipes for my sport. if i have the story right, bub stopped making them. on thier site they were listed around 625, i'll be getting mine for 500(american dollars). so this fall, it'll be the k & n pods and the power commander. and my bike will finally be breathing right! so how loud are these things?

yeah, jackie chan and chris tucker right? okay. early in the movie jackie bails and takes a cab. chris hops on a bike to chase him. after chris cuts the cab off, if my eyes don't decieve me, we get a glimpse of a motor on an all red bike. if i'm not mistaken that's one of our jugs and headers. how'd we stealth that into the movie?

is this the exhaust that was prone to cracking? did they fix it? i still lust after this system.

seems like any guzzi sport type is a rare bike nowadays. my 01 was the last year they used one color on all the plastic if my dealer isn't totaly full of crap.

argh, sorry about the flounder guzzirider. and the sport is a real charmer. that may be my favorite thing about it. it's always well manered. grats on the new bike.
