Interesting. i just converted my 04 Cafe Sport from bars to clip ons.

Nero or Rosa? I ll check with my guzzi dealer to see if they are the same part. I hope they both use the same Olin's. thanks so much

When I bought my 04 Cafe sport I thought I would warm up to the handle bars. Every other bike I have ridden or own has clip ons. Well I really hate the bars and now I want to fit a set of proper clips ons. I know there are clip ons out there from other manufactors. However I am looking to see what Moto Guzzi clip on will fit my olins forks. Thanks, Myke

As it turns out, the new piece, and perhaps the old one also, has the brass threads connected with a small philips screw deep at the base of the knob. I removed this screw and removed the brass threads. Then it was a simple, matter of placing the plastic knob on the existing brass threads and screwing the small screw back in place. It seems the brass piece is visible. However, it is inside the speedo case and I really don't have a way to get a grip of it to screw it off. I am tempted to take apart the speedo, however, I suspect that is not going to be a simple as I think it should be. I don't want to brake any seals.

Just the plastic . I need to get the screw out or the screw off the new one. Thanks.

My trip rerset know has broken off. I have a new one comming. However, the new one will have the threaded screw on it and the odometer still has the old one in it. Is there a way to get the old threaed screw out without taking off the odometer and taking it apart? Thanks, Myke

Has anyone used the MIVV slip-ons? They say they are street legal if you leave the packing in or you can remove it if you want the added attention. While that is somewhat important, I am mostly asking about horsepower increases. Thanks

They are apples and oranges. They do not compare. One is a wet bike (liquid cooled)the other an air head.The Ape makes probablly 40 more hp.The Ape is probablly 60 pounds lighter. The Ape steers quicker and responds quicker. Where the do compare is both have character(MG probablly more)both have high quality, both attract attention,both are great looking. You ride them for different reasons on different days. Both are winners.

I purchased my first Moto Guzzi a couple of weeks ago. It is a 2004 V11 Cafe Sport. For me it it somewhat unusual in the fact that it has a pretty standard seating position. All my other rides have clip ons. I have been riding for almost 35 years and have always leaned towards sport bikes.However, these new modern sport bikes are for the most part so much more bike that any rider can use safely on the street I find myself looking more and more towards air cooled bikes. I do love the power plant of most twin motors and so far I am enjoying my Guzzi.
