  9. Is the one you bought a roller motor? Ciao I'm not sure what you mean by "roller motor." Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk
  10. I've had my eye on the Griso for a while, now. I've never owned a new bike, only second hand (or third, or forth, or who knows). It makes me sad that MG stopped producing them. Some shops around me have some new ones left, but I can't afford them at the time. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk
  11. You're absolutely right, docc. If it wasn't for this community, that engine would still be on my workbench. I've been teaching myself how to work on motorcycles for a while, now, and this has been the most welcoming and helpful online community that I've come across. Cheers, everyone! 12. I really like the burgundy tank. It seems to have different shades, depending on how the light catches it. Here's another pic, but in some light this go 'round (don't mind the weirdo in the photo). Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk
  13. Mine is in the front. Angeles Crest. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk
  14. Ok, sooo . . . just to clarify: you adjusted the shift mechanism and that took care of the problem entirely?Yes, that did it. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk
  15. She's shifting fine! Thanks for all the help, and for digging up that picture, docc. I'd buy you a beer if I could!
  16. Maybe! My workbench misses having an engine on it. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk
  17. I had a shifting problem once because the nut on the forward heim joint was hitting the starter. I turned it around so the screw head faced the starter and the problem was solved. It's great when a fix can be as simple as that! Looking at the picture that docc posted versus my setup, I'm growing more hopeful that this could be a simple solution, too. The bike has been out of commission for over three years, and I barely got to ride it before the engine needed rebuilt, but I do remember there being some shifting issues back then. 18. Thanks. That definitely looks different than my setup! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk
  19. I'm out of daylight and my power is still out, so I'll have stop for the night. I'll see if I can convince my girlfriend to rock the rear wheel for me tomorrow. A girlfriend is as good as two monkeys, right? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk
  20. There is about 1/4" play in the foot lever. I can't shift higher than 2nd without the engine running. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk
  21. Other than the obvious oil leak, how does this look? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk
  22. There is a gap between the lever and porkchop. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk
  23. Yes. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk
  24. The engine was separated from the transmission. The clutch was out, but reinstalled correctly. It doesn't slam into gear. It's actually pretty gentle. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk
