I where a shoei and an Arrow(Yarow)

I recommend anything that fits.

But over the years I have seen variations in face shield quality, so I recommend looking for UV and scratch protection....and no, I don't recommend burkas and flea collars for riding <_>

I have noticed both the Shoei and Arrow offer good scratch resitance and UV protection.

The Arrow is great in hot weather, well vented, but noisy.

The Shoei is a little lighter, quieter, but gets hot in the sun....I don't recommend black helmets :homer:

My previous helmet, can't remember brand, would leave me with a sun burnt nose.

Arai Quantum F- winter riding and track days

Roof Boxer- summer touring

Roof open face- for those really hot days!

I am sure the Arai is the safest but it is far too hot to wear in warm weather, especially in cities.

1 Arai Jethelmet

1 BMW System V (in champaign color, matching the Le Mans...)

Because of a very large head (no joke, 65cms) I could also consider a Kliko, a 20feet sea container or an oil drum (joke)

I used to ride with an HJC and wasn't thrilled with the fit. I just recently ordered a black Suomy Spec 1-r with a blue iridium shield (that is supposed to be here tomorrow). I hope it's everything it's supposed to be. I'll let you know. ;)

Like Dave says, It's gotta fit. I had an Arai that fit great. Replaced it after about 6 years with the new version of the same helmet and it was never right. Bought thinner cheek pads but never got a confortable fit out of it. Just bought a Nolan flip front and have only 2 rides with it but the fit seems very good.

X-lite 902 Flag (Italian of course!) for summer and Arai Quantum for spring and autumn (half a size larger than the X-lite thus making room for a balaclava).

I have an Arai - best fitting helmet I've ever had.

I have a KBC - cheaper and not quite as good a fit but I use it as a loaner for friends.

Because I have never heard of it? US only brand?

Yes.

Fron KBC website;

1992 - The KBC helmet company is establised as sole proprietorship. The first KBC manufactured helmet is introduced to the motorcycle market.

1993 - KBC enters a contract with Tucker Rocky Distributing.

1994 - KBC America is incorporated.

1995 - Business expands to include OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) private label helmets and apparel. Past and current clients include: Harley-Davidson, Polaris, Fox Racing, O'Neal, MSR, Answer Racing, Thor, Suzuki, Kawasaki, and Yamaha.

2000 - KBC Europe Limited is established.

You've had 7 years to discover KBC.
