Yes. Grain, colour, the feel it is unique :) I do not use only polaroids, I am, in my 21yrs age still user of classic b/w material, enlarging prints at home and all the nasty things :) I just love to touch agfa baryt papers...

Another photographer great, you have missed the days of great BW paper Kodak royal bromesco, far out , Agfa record rapid what a paper, just as well for Fuji they stil supply us with great colour and BW film, neopan has been my favourite for 20 years. That smell of a darkroom oooh takes me back.

I never liked Fuji B/W mat. I love Ilford HP5+ --> Great one! and Kodak Tri-X 400. Those are very variable yet contrast and easy to work with. When we go to color negatives or slides - there is no competitor to Fuji :)

Me too, I like grainy paper...there's something special about a black n white image with it...a bit like the crackle of a vinyl record...I mean CDs are great but somehow it's not the same and I find myself reaching for my old vinyl every now and again...

It's the film thats grainy not the paper, as for vinyl it's the business let my 11 year old son listen to an album he knew well he had wondered if I had a different CD to his, no son it's that big black round thing that sounds better he was amazed see what the youth of today are missing.
