The big one that the Top Gearheads are waiting for is this Sunday's test of a BMW S1000RR racing against a £150,000 Ariel Atom V8, around the show's track.

 

 

It's a standard BMW S1000RR ridden by British Superbike EVO class champion Steve Brogan. I hope they don't put James May (or any of them) in the car.

May is rumoured, but so is Tiff Needell, which would make more sense.

Do any of you Britishers remember if there was a motorbike show that was tried for a while, once upon a time? An Old Top Gear spin-off?

Or was it just the awful Steve Berry reports on OTG that I'm thinking of?

Steve Berry was awful. Cant see the bike winning- I'm sure they will have carefully planned for the car to win, which in reality it should do on a twisty track with all that extra grip.
