Guest 1100sport
I found an add posted on Daes Mototec site which shows a 1100 Sport ie with Akront spoked wheels. It seems like Daes did the modifications work to make them fit.
al_roethlisberger
I wonder if the spoked wheels such as those posted by Paul are much heavier than the more lightweight non-spoked wheels? al
Admin Jaap
http://www.moto-weissmann.de/00 00 24 62A Speichenvorderrad 5.50-17 V2A-Sp. M4,5 für schlauchlos abgedichtet Brutto: 532,14 EUR Netto: 458,74 EUR A 5.5 x 17" front wheel? What would that be for? But the prices are interesting, however the rims are stainless steel, so quite heavy. Thanks for the search! I will contact Däs-Mototec to see what they can do. Paul Minnaert
DÄS is not your cheap solution. Just call the other two. REgarding weight, I have no clue what these thinghs weigh, my last spoked wheel bike was 25 year ago. If you want light wheels, get the trick Dymag carbon rims!!. Ducati has complete wheels in the ducati performance catalog. The front wheel might fit. Maybe the price not http://www.dymag.com/Wire%20Spokes.htm Typical weight for 17 x 3.5in Front: 3.1kg

Paul Minnaert
IF you use a beamer, they might be even bigger
al_roethlisberger
Wow, I bet those CF wheels are stratospherically expensive. And they look good, but I'm not sold on CF wheels for street use myself. I'd have to see a lot more real world "testing" with CF wheels before I'd feel comfortable using them for daily use. But sheesh, they are neato Again though, I would be very interested to see the weight difference between a "typical" spoked wheel for this application, as compared to our stock cast Brembos. Also, since I haven't had spoked wheels since bicycling or dirtbikes(keep in mind, I'm a relative youngster ) ....other than cleaning, are there major maintenance or performance tradeoffs with modern spoked wheels? I think some black spoked wheels(maybe with a silver edge), like on Todd's Jackal, would look great on the 02 Champagne LeMans al
