Ok folks, my question about footpegs produced awesome results here thanks to you lot. My new question is does anyone have an extra master cylinder around to fit an '03 V11 Sport Naked? My supplier can't find one either.

Hi Folks.

I've been trying to get my 2003 Cafe Sport back on the road after it was stolen and recovered...now some time ago! Both handlebar controls were quite mangled!

I have sorted most of the issues but I haven't found a solution to getting the Clutch and Brake maters right. The main problem is that Brembo seal kits don't appear to be available anymore.

On the Clutch side the Piston and seals themselves seem OK but the dust cover is damaged.

On the Brake side, the bore, piston (16mm dia) and pressure seal seem in good condition, but the O ring seems to be slightly too big ( ie. about 16.5mm internal dia. Does this seem wrong? It doesn't sit neatly in the machining within the bore). The Dust cover is also damaged.

Does anybody have any idea where I could find these parts, or if not, have encountered the same problem and worked out an alternative to the original set up?

If I am correct in not being able to buy kits, I imagine a few of us will have have problems keeping these components serviceable. I'd appreciate any thoughts.

Best wishes

Save yourself a headache and just buy new master cylinders. You'll probably get both for around 200USD brand new.

@Lucky Phil just posted these links to front brake master cylinders in another thread. [I have "split" those posts here and they are seen as the first posts in this thread, now.]

I have rebuilt my clutch master twice. The 12mm kit is available as Brembo part number: . OPPracing may be a resource for the brake parts, as well.

[moderator note]: I "split" the related posts on the brake master cylinder here from the general topic "What did you do to your V11 today ?" for better archiving.

Yet, because they predate this topic origin, this topic now appears to have been started by @skibum69 rather than the original poster, @Revilo.

Sorry for the change-up, folks. Just trying to keep things tidied-up and searchable. :nerd:

I understand, I don't know my way around this forum very well so didn't know the proper place to put up my query. I'll try to do better next time.

All good, sir! Turns out well that these two inquiries combined.

It has one, the heart shaped icon in the bottom right of a post. Like, as well as four other options are there. Welcome to the forum.

Each post has the heart-shaped "like" button. The forum, itself, has a "like" button at the top of the page in the red header . . .

Thanks team for your suggestions around the brake master kit. I've been trying to keep costs down but it is beginning to look like a fully new master will be my only option. I'll report back.

Thanks once again for sharing your experience. ..and thanks to Docc for keeping a semblance of order around  here.
