Andy, contact your Local BMW m-c dealer.

Tell him you need a headlight lens for a 1977 R100/7. Same headlamp.

Different beam pattern for UK vs rest of world

The BMW parts fiche shows a UK version of the lens.

In the US it comes with the gasket. About $30USD last I bought.

Best of luck.

Contact me if you have no luck, I can provide BMW number for the UK lens.

BMW part number you want is #63121358148 for those of us that ride on the left hand side of the road. In case others are interested, the part number for the USA and rest of Europe is #63121243541.

Todd, thanks for the tip. I've been worried about that lens sticking out there while all the local gravel trucks lose rocks on Loop 820. By the way, what do you recommend as protection for that piece of glass?

Txrider, contact these guys: http://www.xpel.com/

Good stuff, protects well against anything .22 caliber or smaller. :D

Well worth it.

Buy a big sheet, you'll find other uses for the stuff.

We use it on hand-held scanners, etc. to protect the view windows.

We have been pleased with the optical clarity over a several year test.

Follow the instructions, clean thoroughly , and use alcohol as needed :bier:

On the lens I mean.

Sorry to lump you in with the Brits, Dave.

No offense intended.

Apologies also to any Japanese forum members who may be viewing....

Any others?

Earlier this year, my '01 Triumph Trophy got a black eye from a rock. The Trophy has two headlights and they come as a unit. Cost was USD 278, about 155 pounds, 225 Euro. :( I've been considering the Ventura covers but haven't done it yet. I may look up Todd's Xpel stuff now that I know about it.

No problem, I can sympathise with that.

Look forward to seeing you next time you are over then.

Sounds promising over the headlamp, hope it works for you.

Andy,if you have a Bosch lamp,in Italy,i can find only a lens in a Bosch dealer but the last model have a Luxor headlamp and this don't have a single lens for replacement. The cost of a Luxor headlamp complete in Italy is £100
