  1. Caterham, Westfield, Marcos - kit cars mainly but do a turn key option,

    Strange thing leaders in motorsport , most of the F1 teams based here , but no indiginous volume manufacturer - strange world

    Yes it seems that the UK is no longer a manufacturing country- more of a technology base. Much cheaper to build it elsewhere.

    Ariel make a car called an Atom- absolutely no bodywork and you have to wear waterproofs and a helemet.

    May as well ride a bike when it gets to that stage!

  2. You have been a very patient man, Jim. I would be unable to sleep Friday night!

    When will you first get a chance to ride your new baby?

  3. I'm a bit confused with who owns what in the British Car industry these days. I think its only TVR and Reliant

    Don't forget Caterham, Westfield, Marcos, Noble and Ariel. I belive these are all still British, although very small and catering for sports car nuts only.

    I've long been a Lotus fan but they are owned by Proton these days, the same guys who now own Kenny Roberts Moto GP team.

    TVRs are like Guzzis- unique with lots of character but loads of faults and niggles in comparison to say, a Porsche.

  4. My weird thing is that whatever bike I am riding, I always keep checking to make sure the choke / enrichener lever is fully closed. I do this several times on each journey.

    Luggage paranoia is another one- looking at the shadow behind me on the road surface as I am riding to see what is flapping loose or falling off, even though I know its all very secure.

    Wibble

    :wacko:

  5. A Brazilian is a style of bikini line waxing- just think of a tiny "Hitler Moustache" above a ladies front bottom.

    Called a Brazilian I believe because it originated from Rio where the swimwear for ladies is minimal and they do not want any spider's legs sticking out.

    Apparently the girls have to get on all fours in the beauty parlour to get it finished off properly.

    <_>
