  1. Hi all, I'm trying to get my rear shock (Sachs-Borg) replaced under warranty (still have a year left). In Dec I was trying to set up my suspension only to discover that the compression damping (if I remember right - the adjuster on the shock itself) would "click" properly clockwise but just unscrew itself in the other direction. I didn't find anything previous pertaining to this so I'm curious about this shock. If I do get a replacement can I expect the same problems? Anyone else experience this? Experiences with the White Power one? thanks, Ryan
  2. That is Exactly what I did! Right down to the rag around the hacksaw! Ryan
  3. Come on over Steve! I don't mind cutting your bike up! Honestly, I had that thought too - point of no return. But I figured I hated the thing, it had to go, and if I didn't like it I could continue my search/fabrication of a fender eliminator. Turns out I like it just fine! I'll have your fender chopped while my girlfriend distracts you with a NewCastle! cheers, Ryan
  4. In disgust with the kits that are out there I had a look at what I could do with what was there on the bike. By the time I had everything off and mocked back up again I realized with the plate and stock tail light I wasn't going to gain much space by fabricating brackets etc. Maybe 1.5 inches at most. Too much effort for not much result. What I did was to change the turn signals to short stalk Lockhart Phillips (made them more visible with Techno bags) and cut off the rear fender just above the bottom of the license plate. Looks much tidier, shows more tire, and no longer looks like I backed into a concrete wall. Retains protection for lights/plate/wiring etc. If you don't replace the signals this is a no money mod that gives a significant improvement in style. Not an eliminator, but an improvement. cheers, Ryan
  5. I just got my V11 back from the shop. Had them put in a PCIII and check a transmission seal that was sweating. It was still under warranty so MGNA decided immediately to do the tranny mods since they had to pay to fix the seal. 3 days later it was done. The tranny feels MUCH smoother and shifts MUCH better than it ever did. Rode it for only a day's worth of insurance but it felt great! I don't know how many bikes out there are still under warranty but if so, check your seals. A leak might get you some attention from MGNA and boost you to the front of the line. It was nice to get it done so fast, but I really didn't want to be the first one the local shop did! I am confident in these guys though... I would guess that parts are available somewhere if they were able to get it done so fast for my bike. cheers, Ryan
  6. Just joined the list. I've had my 01 V11 new since this last spring. Just finished the usual mods, FBF airbox, Stucchi X, Mistral pipes & PCIII. Fun Fun Fun! Also have a 70 Tri Bonny cafe racer and am working on a 74 Duc 750 cafe racer. cheers, Ryan
