  1. I wouldn't kick either out of bed.
  2. No offense but for a wee bit more I'd spring for the Coppa... I have seen Greenies start at $4500 and go up depending on condition and mileage. Depreciation curves look like a U for interesting things, and look like a L for everything else.
  3. Like I said the most recent public sales were $9-11k so it's in the ballpark. Do you know of any that have been sold recently for less?
  4. Because I like you guys here's what I found out about the bike (plus a bonus!) "02 Ghezzi Brian Furia with about 3500 miles for $15K, and an 04 Copa Italia with c.6ooo(?) miles for $11K"
  5. There is a very healthy population of Vincents in Oregon. The owners? Not so healthy... There are 35 bikes in the local Vincent club. I'm pretty sure that's more than the local Guzzi club.
  6. You're right. No more non-V11 posts from me. Hey, look, another non-V11 post!
  7. You're right. No more non-V11 posts from me.
  8. I'm sure some Coppa owners will be along shortly with their opinions.
  9. There are literally more Vincents in this area that Coppas. Here's my friend's, we took a spin around the countryside today. Not easy to keep up with a well ridden twin! I'll post a video later.
  10. Me either, that fairing looks a little "added on" to me.. not that I would consider changing it if I had one. I'd say bottom dollar would be around 7500. Whatever someone is willing to pay is what it is worth. A cursory search showed two sell on eBay: $9-11k
  11. haha - funny, I see three dudes holding beers, locked onto two of the most interesting motorcycles ever made . . . Actually I cropped the photo. There was another Vincent in the picture. These guys all own Vincents, and most of them have several. But they are getting on in age and the bikes have to go sooner or later.
  12. That was sarcasm, right? These V11s are all limited production bikes. My Scura is one of 700 with a special number plate. Ironically, it's probably the one they made the most of... but nobody really knows... The bikes with premium Ohlins suspension, such as the Coppa Italiia, will cost you more than a similar condition Greenie - as you said you wanted in an earlier thread. Heavy sarcasm. Is 29 the number they imported into the US?
  13. Oh, never mind. Out of my price range. Who the hell would want such a limited production bike anyways...
  14. Yeah, not green but... Not sure of the miles but it looks showroom fresh. What's the price range on one of these?
  15. Sacrilege! Heretic! Scuristo! I was thinking about that except using a vinyl wrap so it could be removed.
  16. Haha... you are a total nut case. Takes one to know one. There were a couple clean, low-mile greenies for sale a few months ago. Just keep watching craigslist - do you know the search all of craigslist site: http://www.searchcraigslist.org/ If you don't care about originality, you could repaint a black or silver red-frame model. Just to give you guys an idea of what a nut case I am... I'm planning on riding the bike to Barber next year. So something like 5k miles. What could go wrong? Time to find a bike and sort it out. Then again I should probably sit on one first to see if it actually fit. Anyone in the Portland area mind if I sit on your bike?
  17. I intended the T to be my reliable ride to replace the Triumph. I guess that firmly establishes my lack of common sense!
  18. Too be clear some of them are projects so I have to keep a healthy running bike ratio, especially considering they are mostly British and Italian!
  19. I'm sorry if I wasn't clear enough, there are four full bikes in the garage. The Triumph won't be missed. I love it but I got a bad case of Guzzi lust after getting the 850T. There's a Bevel Ducati, the 850T, the Triumph and the Norton. Plus a basket case AJS... then at another location is my Bultaco Sherpa T and the other Norton... well, you get the picture. So a Greenie would just make a nice addition.
  20. You know, with the red frame? Yeah, that one. I'm trying to sell my Triumph to free up the bike money for the V11. We finally had a nice day around here so people with think about riding. Maybe I'll have better luck then. That won't matter if I can't find a V11, the V11! Like this one: Is that really asking too much?
  21. This is the internet, we argue about everything.
  22. It was at a swap meet so it may have been for sale, just sold or something. I'd give it a pass for the ride this time.
