  1. That stupid green bike made me put the Triumph on Craigslist. Super nice guy came by 5 hours later and bought it. I just texted the green bike, unless one of you %^%^& got it first.
  2. I wish that was true. I've had some bites on the Triumph but they've been on the east coast.
  3. Gah!!!!
  4. It shows the miles. But yes, well loved.
  5. A couple shots of the Scura and some friends...
  6. In the end I'm going to try to find the best bike I can afford, with preferences as stated. It's not like they made an ugly V11 Sport...
  7. mmmm... that's a much darker shade of green. Very true, but I was fondling,,, not proposing. One owner bike, 61k miles. Well loved. Never for sale while owner breathing.
  8. Nope. I may have taken off on it if I did that.
  9. I sat on a Scura today. I don't think a bike has fit me better.
  10. MG just updated their website. I don't think they have a parts catalog yet.
  11. Yeah, unfortunately most of the aftermarket breathers are marketed for Ducati, hence the horrible prices. And they're probably shipping from China and cost $5 to make.
  12. I have been advised by esteemed sources as well as from some forum crawling that power brake booster check valves work well. Brake booster valves are usually flappy pieces of plastic. Engine pulses are quite rapid, several thousand times per minute, and will wear out or destroy a plastic valve. If they worked that well why do no manufacturers use them for crankcase evacuation? The caveat is that V-twins even the pulses out somewhat, especially compared to a 360 twin or a single.
  13. Yamabond, or Three Bond or the equivalent. But there are places that Hylomar would work better, especially were you have to remove the part often.
  14. Hmm, good to know. Theory is that a check valve in the crank breather can reduce positive pressure in the bottom end and thereby among other benefits reduce how much air/oil gets spat out. Ducati, BMW, even Harley uses them, and have been for quite a while. The new Panigale goes so far as to having a pump in the crankcase to keep it under negative pressure. Methinks it can help. They aren't expensive, either. Reed valve breathers are the simplest way to reduce the crankcase pressure.
  15. I think you know the answer, and you don't like it.
  16. Do you have the engineering drawing? It would be good to have in the future in case someone needs them and Don is not available.
  17. 12k miles? Not sure I'd hone or put new rings in. 120k miles? Sure.
  18. That's a V7 Sport replica seat sitting over the T fender. Not the way it's suppose to be. I have a more suitable fender on the way. I bought this last year and it has 80k miles on it. Still starts every time, but sometimes it takes a couple tries. Probably the solenoid. I want to put the second disk on the front just to balance it out.
  19. Perhaps, but it'll provide forum fodder for the foreseeable future.
  20. I found a 2000 Greenie for $5400. It looks well loved with a few miles on it. I have to assume someone fixed all the bugs, er, features. What is the price range I should be expecting? The lowest I've seen so far is $4500.
  21. I'd love to see a picture of the grips that are the same size. Are you sure they aren't bicycle grips? These were on my Guzzi when I got them. Soft yet durable. They would still be on there if I hadn't replaced them with heated grips. http://www.ourygrips.com/road-street-grips/ Compressed air is the best way to get grips on and off. If they move around too much then break out the hairspray.
  22. I have yet to meet a modern bike that didn't have different size grips, the right side has to be a different internal diameter to accommodate the throttle tube. You would never want different external diameters because your hands could tell and it would drive you crazy.
  23. The LeMans heads should have 6mm studs on the intakes, if I recall correctly. The small valve heads have 8mm.
  24. Well, I only have one so far so I need to catch up with some of you!
  25. I have this book: https://www.amazon.com/Moto-Guzzi-2-valve-big-twins/dp/1845846559/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1490223878&sr=8-7&keywords=moto+guzzi+bookwhich is a little light on details. I'll look into the other ones.
